This is Call of Duty Mobile Season 5

It's time for Call of Duty Mobile Season 5. In this fifth season, players end up in tropical atmospheres. The season is called Tropical Vision and brings plenty of new content to the mobile game. Think new weapons, maps and a UI update. We tell you everything you need to know.

A season in Call of Duty Mobile lasts about a month. The game has a different theme each month. The content that is added is related to this theme. Call of Duty Mobile guns also get regular updates when a season changes. So it is possible that the meta will shift. Enough chatter, let's see what the fifth season brings us.

Call of Duty Mobile Season 5 release.

Call of Duty Mobile Season 5 will go live in the United States on June 1. That's June 2, 02:00 Dutch time. The update may be available for download earlier, after which all content will be available at the time of release. As mentioned, this season will also last about a month.

New weapons in the battle pass
In the battle pass of the fifth season, two new weapons are unlockable. The Oden assault rifle at tier 21 and the Echo – Tiki Troops shotgun at tier 26. Both weapons are free. The Echo Grenade is also part of the free battle pass.

Call of Duty fans are familiar with the Oden from Modern Warfare. The Oden is an assault rifle with a low rate of fire. But, due to the high damage, the weapon is extremely strong. Ideal for players who take it a little easier.

Then the Echo – Tiki Troops shotgun, a weapon with a somewhat strange name. At the start of the new season, little information is available about this new weapon. Obviously, this shotgun will be strong at short distances.

In the premium battle pass you will find blueprints of different weapons. The AK-47, MSMC, PKM and the Kilo Bolt-Action will be given to you when you purchase this battle pass. Are you just starting out with Call of Duty Mobile and could use some good weapons? Then the purchase of this premium battle pass is worth considering.

Season 5 brings new map and game mode

Call of Duty Mobile Season 5 also brings a new map and game mode. The map is no stranger: Apocalypse from Black Ops Cold War. This tropical and somewhat mysterious map fits perfectly with the Tropical Vision theme. Apocalypse is also a relatively small map where you can get by with a submachine gun and an assault rifle.

Guns Blazing Encore is the newest game mode. In this game mode it is possible to acquire a kind of super strength. You do this by filling your „fury gauge“. How? Firstly, by eliminating normal opponents. Furthermore, you fill this crazy enough by being eliminated yourself. For both actions you get 100 points. If you eliminate a 'super-soldier‘, someone with that super power, you get 300 points.

A super-soldier is equipped with a dual-wield Death Machine. In addition, you have an increased health. So you want to collect enough points in this game mode as quickly as possible. When you are eliminated or when you run out of bullets, you lose this status.

In Guns Blazing Encore, as usual, you start with your own loadout. But, there are no score streaks active. So, you are reliant on your weapons.

User Interface Update

When starting up and playing Call of Duty Mobile, you'll notice that a few things look different. For example, the multiplayer lobby gets a different, appropriate background. The same goes for the store. This also has an improved interface.

Furthermore, there are brand new challenges to complete. This will unlock blueprints, skins and battle pass experience. In addition, there is a special challenge for the new RPD cooling compressor barrel. The bots in Call of Duty Mobile's battle royale also look a little different. With the arrival of Season 5, the bots wear skins from different operators.

Finally, you would be wise to take a critical look at your favorite loadouts. Most weapons have had a buff or nerf. So with the arrival of Season 5, the meta has shifted a bit. No inspiration? Try using the GKS when you're a mobile player. Prefer to take it a little easier? Then give the new Oden a shot.
