Spectre Divide Launch Patch Notes

Spectre Divide has introduced several updates and changes for its full release. The developers at Mountaintop Studios have added new content, adjusted weapons, and made various quality of life improvements. Some notable additions and tweaks are detailed below:

Players no longer need to be on the ground to start a vault or mantle. By holding the vault input, the system will now automatically vault when you come into range of a vaultable surface.

A new voice-over audio feature announces „Last Player Standing“ when you are the last player alive on your team. The main menu's „Compete“ button now indicates when matchmaking search criteria are being expanded.

Key Additions:

  • ‘Last Weapon’ key bind for easily equipping the last used weapon.
  • A setting to disable text chat sound effects can now be found under Settings > Audio.
  • Adjustments to network buffering options are now available to assist players with network input loss issues (Settings > General).
  • New accessibility setting for ‚Swap Camera Effect‘ reduces visual effects and keeps the camera stationary during swaps to your Spectre.

Additional Features:

  • Players can now surrender via the Escape menu when a teammate abandons a match.
  • Improved warning dialog alerts players who try to leave a match before it ends.
  • Dropped weapons now unzoom their optics automatically.

  • New and updated network status icons illustrate various connection issues, such as packet loss and throttling.

Improved System Functionality

Players are advised if their graphics card drivers are outdated via a new dialog box. A keybind for in-game help is set by default to F1. Keybinds for all chat commands have also been added. The setting for 4K/8K mouse polling is now standard.

The sponsors tab in the main menu has been revised to assist new players in unlocking sponsors. Various bugs have been fixed, including but not limited to:

  • A bug causing regional matchmaking ping errors.
  • Visual effects on the HUD dropping client performance.
  • Translucent materials not fading in/out correctly in smoke.
