Sentinels Zombs insults all of Brazil

After the Sentinels were eliminated from the Valorant Champions, Jared „Zombs“ Gitlin went on another verbal rampage – against all of Brazil.

As the Valorant Champions – the local international tournament – progressed, there was some questionable activity surrounding the teams from Brazil. For example, in the match against the Sentinels, the Furia Esports team had to take a 15-minute forced break so that the illegal use of a bug could be investigated. In retrospect, however, this turned out to be legal, so no unsportsmanship.

How did the conflict between the Sentinels and Brazil unfold?

Meanwhile, the Sentinels continued to pour oil on the fire, enraging parts of the Brazilian community, which was highly divided over the issue of fairness. „ShaZam“ subsequently made fun of the participants from South America in a crude manner, referring to the controversial match against Furia Esports. At this point, viewers already came forward on social media describing these jokes as hostility against an entire country.

Sentinel's „zombs“ finally broke the camel's back. In a tweet, he insulted the entire Brazilian region in the worst possible way. Rightly so, numerous voices were raised from the community and the scene. The eSports should not be defined by hate and insults, at least that's how the Furia Esports management saw it.

But even after sustained admonitions and hostility from the net, Zombs didn't let up. Instead of apologizing for his bad behavior, he continued to give free rein to his sarcastic comments about what was happening. Meanwhile, the Sentinels bowed out of Valorant Champions. Perhaps their team play was affected by toxic behavior. In any case, the moral of the story is relatively simple: you shouldn't insult an entire country across the board. Not even in eSports.
