Dota 2 Riyadh Masters 2024

The ESL Pro Tour's 2024 Riyadh Masters is set to bring together twenty of the best Dota 2 teams from around the world. This prestigious event will take place in Saudi Arabia and serves as a significant part of the Esports World Cup.

As one of the biggest multi-title esports events of the year, the Riyadh Masters will feature intense competition and high stakes, attracting global attention and showcasing the best in Dota 2 talent.

Riyadh Masters Date and Venue

The 2024 Riyadh Masters will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, stretching from July 3 to July 21. The tournament will unfold over nineteen days and will be conducted on a LAN. The competition is structured into three phases. The Play-in stage will run from July 4 to 7. The Group Stage will begin on July 10 and end on July 14. The final Playoffs will take place from July 16 to 21.

Riyadh Masters Prize Pool

Dota 2's Riyadh Masters at the Esports World Cup boasts a significant prize pool. The event offers $5 million in prize money with an additional $5 million designated for the qualifiers, totaling an impressive $10 million. The champion of Riyadh Masters will earn a substantial $1.5 million.

The Riyadh Masters 2024 Dota 2 tournament will feature twenty qualified teams. Eight teams secure their spots through ESL Pro Tour (EPT) points, while the remaining twelve qualify via regional tournaments.

How Do Teams Qualify for Riyadh Masters?

To earn a spot in the Riyadh Masters, Dota 2 teams must secure high placements in key events like ESL One Birmingham and DreamLeague Season 23. These performances help teams accumulate EPT Points. Teams with the top eight EPT Points on the leaderboard will receive direct invites to the tournament.

Besides direct invitations, twelve teams can qualify through regional qualifiers. These qualifiers are distributed across seven regions:

  • China (CN): 3 slots
  • Western Europe (WEU): 2 slots
  • Southeast Asia (SEA): 2 slots
  • South America (SA): 2 slots
  • North America (NA): 1 slot
  • Middle East and North Africa (MENA): 1 slot
  • Eastern Europe (EEU): 1 slot

This structure ensures a global representation at the Riyadh Masters.

Will there be a live audience?

As of now, ESL has yet to release information about a live audience or ticket availability. Previously, attendees could buy tickets and enjoy the games in person during the Riyadh Masters. It is likely that the same arrangement will be offered for this year's Dota 2 Riyadh Masters at the Esports World Cup.
