Possible loadouts in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 after all

It is possible that loadouts may still be available to use in Call of Duty: Warzone 2. This is what leaker Metaphor cryptically let us know via Twitter. Loadouts have been a staple of Call of Duty's battle royale since March 2020. Therefore, their lack in the latest iteration raised a lot of controversy.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will launch on Nov. 16. The new battle royale is free to play and will be fully integrated with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. During the franchise's showcase event, the first gameplay was shown. Notable, then, was the lack of loadouts.

Still loadouts in Call of Duty: Warzone 2?

During and after the Call of Duty: Next showcase event, the lack of loadouts in the new battle royale in particular was a topic of conversation. Raven Software and Infinity Ward seemed intent on adjusting the system. Weapons should be available in The Shop starting Nov. 16.

According to Metaphor, it seems that the developer does not want to abandon loadouts after all. With just two emoticons, the leaker, who incidentally has an excellent track record, hints at the presence of loadouts.

Furthermore, Metaphor manages to report that AI-powered bots will only appear in the designated „strongholds. In addition, it seems that the old way of ‚looting‘ will definitely not be adopted. The new battle royale seems to involve more tactical gameplay.

The developers are expected to come up with more official information in the coming weeks. After all, the game will be released in a month and a half. In addition to the above changes, the battle royale will also get a completely new map called Al Mazrah.
