Sierra joins Overwatch as Hero 51, arriving with Season 2 on April 14. As a new DPS option, she brings a fresh toolkit that expands how you approach damage and disruption in matches.
You can expect a full loadout that includes her core abilities, ultimate, perks, and passive, each designed to shape her playstyle and impact. This breakdown walks you through what her kit offers and how it fits into the current roster.
Overwatch Sierra abilities and ultimate
You play Sierra as a Damage hero with the Recon subrole, built for pressure and pursuit. When you damage enemies below 50% health, you automatically reveal them, which helps you track weakened targets and secure eliminations.
Her Helix Rifle fires in a spiral pattern and tightens its spread the longer you maintain fire. You gain better accuracy by committing to sustained bursts instead of short taps.
Core Abilities
- Tracking Shot: Mark a target so your Helix Rifle rounds follow them for a short time. You can pressure mobile heroes and finish low-health opponents more reliably.
- Anchor Drone: Launch a drone to a location, then reactivate the ability to propel yourself toward it. You can reposition quickly or take aggressive angles.
- Tremor Charge: Throw an explosive that releases a shockwave on impact. You can disrupt grouped enemies or force movement.
Ultimate – Trailblazer
Activate Trailblazer to send out a forward-moving drone that drops explosives along its path. You can clear space, pressure objectives, and flush enemies out of cover.
Overwatch Sierra perks and synergies
You choose between two minor upgrades at level two. Full Flight extends Anchor Drone’s travel and grapple distance by 25%, while Tight Grip sharpens Helix Rifle performance by tightening spread faster and slowing bloom growth.
- Full Flight: +25% drone range and grapple reach
- Tight Grip: Faster accuracy recovery, reduced spread increase
Your major slot shifts your playstyle. Medi-Drone lets Anchor Drone carry a small health pack that restores your health, giving you sustain during flanks or extended fights. Locked In boosts your attack speed by 20% for two seconds after you fire Tracking Shot.
Full Flight pairs naturally with Medi-Drone if you want stronger mobility and self-sustain around your drone. Tight Grip and Locked In reward steady aim and consistent Tracking Shot usage, improving your rifle pressure during mid-range engagements.
Hero 51 Launch Timing in Overwatch
You can play Sierra, Overwatch’s 51st hero, starting April 14, 2026. Blizzard will release her alongside the launch of Season 2: Summit.
