Overwatch Patch Notes: Latest Hero Updates

Overwatch servers went offline briefly, and you can now jump back in with the February 13 update live. This patch focuses on targeted balance adjustments, refining several heroes after recent large-scale changes.

You will notice updates to Domina, Emre, Anran, Vendetta, Jetpack Cat, and Mizuki, with tweaks aimed at improving ability consistency and tuning performance in live matches. The hotfix continues Blizzard’s effort to stabilize the roster following the recent wave of new content and meta shifts.

Overwatch patch notes

The February 13 hotfix adjusts the six newest heroes to improve responsiveness and consistency in live matches. You will see targeted balance updates rather than large system changes.

Hero balance changes:

  • Nerfs: Domina (Tank), Vendetta, Jetpack Cat
  • Buffs: Emre
  • Tuning adjustments: Anran, Mizuki

Developers focused on reducing outlier performance and refining ability behavior. You can expect further evaluation, with broader balance updates planned for the midseason patch if performance data supports additional changes.

Overwatch nerfs Domina

You will notice a direct reduction to Domina’s Barrier Array durability. The shield panel now holds 225 health instead of 250, lowering how much damage it can absorb before breaking.

  • Barrier Panel Health: 250 → 225

You must manage positioning more carefully, since the weaker barrier gives enemies faster opportunities to pressure your frontline.

OW patch notes: Emre buffs

You gain stronger mid-to-long range pressure with direct upgrades to Emre’s core damage tools. His rifle now maintains effectiveness at greater distances, and his grenade covers more space on detonation.

  • Synthetic Burst Rifle – Take Aim
    • Damage falloff adjusted from 30–45 meters to 35–50 meters
  • Cyber Frag
    • Minimum explosion radius increased from 1.25 meters to 2 meters**

The extended falloff lets you challenge targets farther out without losing as much damage. The larger grenade radius also makes it easier to tag grouped enemies and secure consistent splash damage.

Ow patch notes today: Anran updates

You deal more consistent damage with Anran after the latest hotfix. Her Zhuque Fans primary fire now hits for 22 damage per impact, up from 20, giving you stronger poke in mid-range fights.

Her secondary fire, Fan the Flames, now applies beam-type damage when interacting with armor. Instead of heavy reduction, armor lowers this damage by 30%, improving your effectiveness against armored tanks.

Mobility and control also improve. You can now cancel Inferno Rush with a quick melee, letting you reposition or bait cooldowns with more precision.

Her Ignition passive lingers longer. Burning buildup remains active for 4 seconds instead of 3, increasing pressure during extended engagements and making it easier for you to secure follow-up damage.

Overwatch patch notes: February 13, 2026

Blizzard adjusted Vendetta’s self-sustain in this balance hotfix. You now gain less health from her overhead-focused perk.

  • Siphoning Strike (Minor Perk): Lifesteal reduced from 40% to 30%

This change lowers her durability during close-range trades and limits how much healing you can generate from aggressive swings.

Overwatch nerfs Jetpack Cat

You will notice a direct hit to Jetpack Cat’s mobility in the latest balance pass. The update lowers Frenetic Flight fuel regeneration from 30 to 25, slowing how quickly you regain acceleration while airborne.

  • Frenetic Flight
    • Regeneration rate: 30 → 25

You must now manage fuel more carefully, as extended aerial pressure and rapid repositioning are harder to sustain.

Overwatch hotfix: Mizuki buffs and nerfs

You will notice several targeted adjustments to Mizuki’s kit in the February 13 hotfix. These changes refine his responsiveness while shifting some of his overall power budget.

Spirit Glaive now activates much faster, with cast time reduced from 0.1 to 0.025 seconds. However, recovery increased slightly from 0.7 to 0.75 seconds, so you commit a bit longer after each use.

Healing Kasa offers stronger support reach. Its maximum range increased from 25 to 30 meters, and its default soft-lock angle widened from 8 to 10 degrees, making it easier for you to connect heals on nearby allies.

His ultimate, Kekkai Sanctuary, now requires 7% more charge before use. In exchange, it immediately restores 100 health on activation, giving you instant stabilization when you deploy it.

Ability Change Impact on You
Spirit Glaive Faster cast, longer recovery Quicker engage, slightly longer downtime
Healing Kasa Longer range, wider targeting More reliable healing at distance
Kekkai Sanctuary Higher cost, 100 instant heal Stronger initial burst sustain
