Revised Balanced Overwatch Patch Notes
Tank Hero Adjustments in Overwatch 2's Special Patch
D.Va has received alterations that enhance her versatility. Her Boosters can now move backward and be canceled with crouch. Doing so within the first 0.4 seconds reduces the cooldown to 1.5 seconds. Her Self Destruct ability now creates a knockback effect that is 900% stronger.
Doomfist sees improvements with Power Block and Meteor Strike now enhancing his next quick melee. Movement speed during these abilities is increased from 0.65x to 1.25x.
Junker Queen now gains a magnetizing effect when using Jagged Blade. Activating her secondary fire while the blade is active pulls her towards the blade. The cooldown for this has been reduced to 4 seconds and begins when the blade is summoned back.
Mauga has significant reductions to health and size, with health lowered to 25 and size halved. Additionally, his Incendiary Chain Gun ignites enemies already on fire.
Orisa sees Energy Javelin redesigned to ricochet once and explode upon sticking.
In the case of Ramattra, his base armor has increased to 225. Annihilation is now an Ability 1 and does not pause for damage, with a movement speed boost and extended duration, though damage and radius are reduced. Nemesis Form becomes his ultimate, always activating Annihilation and fully healing Ramattra on activation, with increased damage and range.
Reinhardt's Barrier Field is now enhanced with a primary fire projectile reflection, decreasing barrier health by 20% every second and reducing its size by half while reflecting.
Roadhog benefits from enhanced Pig Pen projectile speed and damage, with a speed increase to 80 and damage raised to 40.
For Sigma, Accretion projectile speed drops, but its gravity reduction enhances ground impact, causing a 4-meter area stun and dealing 50 damage.
Winston's Tesla Cannon and Primal Rage now allow his secondary fire and punches to chain lightning between enemies.
Wrecking Ball enjoys a sideways movement speed increase of 55% and increased damage when moving sideways.
Zarya sees both Particle and Projected Barriers enhancing target size by 1.75x.
Changes to Damage Heroes in Overwatch 2's Humor-Focused Patch
Ashe introduces F.R.E.D. which extends her capabilities. Meanwhile, other D.P.S. characters see notable changes, each adding a fresh layer to gameplay dynamics.
Mauga is reimagined as a miniature version, leveraging his smaller size for unique perspectives in combat. His reduced health and altered capabilities provide tactical challenges and opportunities.
Reaper gains the ability to utilize his secondary fire, doubling his shooting capacity to 16 total shots, which redefines his role in engagements.
In a novel twist, Mercy assumes a Damage role, her secondary fire transforming into a Damage Staff, offering new viability in combat scenarios.
Support Role Adjustments in Balanced Overwatch
Support roles also receive attention in this patch with various character tweaks designed to enhance the chaotic fun. Notably, Torbjorn's turrets are now versatile enough to stick to allies, ceilings, and walls, encouraging creative turret placements and novel tactical advantages.
These adjustments emphasize enhanced tactical interactions, player creativity, and a bold reimagining of hero capabilities, injecting humor and surprise into Overwatch 2's patch experience.
