Overwatch 2 Mirrorwatch Changes

Tank Modifications in Mirrorwatch

Doomfist takes on an enhanced role with his Hand Cannon, designed for close combat with a wide spread that reloads on its own. Rocket Punch, an ability that boosts movement speed when enhanced, can be charged to thrust forward, pushing enemies back, especially damaging them if they hit a wall. With the Seismic Slam, Doomfist performs a leap and ground smash that provides overhealth to himself and nearby allies. The Power Block serves as a defensive measure by projecting a shield against frontal assaults that, when sustaining large damage, powers up the Rocket Punch. Lastly, the Meteor Strike lets Doomfist soar into the air, enabling targeted ground impact that also grants overhealth to allies.

Reinhardt features the mighty Rocket Hammer for melee combat. The Barrier Field enables a defensive energy shield at the front, enhancing the damage of allies’ projectiles and increasing movement speed when broken. Charge allows Reinhardt to dash and smash opponents against walls, while Fire Strike launches fiery projectiles. The Earthshatter causes disruption, knocking down adversaries in a direct line. Reinhardt’s passive ability, Frenzy, boosts attack speed through hammer-inflicted damage.

Zarya wields the Particle Cannon, delivering a short-range energy beam or energy orbs as secondary fire. Her Particle Barrier and Projected Barrier both serve to increase her weapon’s damage based on how much damage they block, with the ability to repel and harm enemies when they fade. The Expulsion Zone emits a gravity surge to repel foes. Additionally, energy from blocked damage enhances the damage output of her cannon.

Adjustments to DPS Skills in Mirrorwatch

Bastion demonstrates adaptability with Configuration Recon, using a potent shotgun while mobile. Switching to Configuration Intel reveals nearby threats and boosts attack and reload speeds. The A-36 Tactical Grenade bounces and detonates upon contact with enemies or terrain, avoiding self-damage. Configuration: Reinforcement allows Bastion to become stationary and deploy multiple allied Slicers.

Echo is equipped with the Tri-Shot, delivering three projectiles in a triangular formation. Her Sticky Bombs are a barrage of targeting explosives that attach and detonate with a delay. Through Flight, Echo can rush forward swiftly and briefly free-fly, causing damage and knockback. The Focusing Beam targets foes with less than half health, slowing and inflicting significant damage. The passive ability, Maximum Efficiency, enhances attack pace and reduces cooldown periods.

Sombra is armed with a Machine Pistol for short-range engagements. Her Hack ability provides tactical versatility, improving allies‘ attack speed and delivering overhealth, with hacked health packs respawning quicker and being inaccessible to enemies. This ability is, however, vulnerable to interruption by incoming damage.

Mirrorwatch Support Abilities and Adjustments

Within the Mirrorwatch patch, support characters gain unique capabilities. Mercy, for instance, has gained the capacity to trigger explosions using fallen allies or foes to inflict damage. Additionally, Sombra’s trickery extends to providing allies with a boost via her hacking proficiency, illustrating versatility in both offense and support roles.
