OG Drop Their Dota 2 Roster Amid Major Team Reshuffle

OG’s Dota 2 division has undergone another major change after a string of disappointing performances. The team struggled to find consistent success throughout 2025, falling short in multiple qualifiers and tournaments. Despite its historic reputation, the organization faced mounting challenges in maintaining a competitive lineup.

This latest roster release highlights the ongoing instability within OG’s Dota 2 operations. Frequent adjustments and underwhelming results have made it difficult for the team to regain its former standing in the professional scene.

OG’s Dota 2 roster has been released once more

OG has once again parted ways with its entire Dota 2 lineup, marking another major reset for the organization in 2025. The team announced the decision on its official social media account, confirming that all active players had been released. This follows a turbulent year marked by underwhelming performances, frequent roster swaps, and a lack of stable results across several qualifiers and tournaments.

Despite numerous attempts to rebuild, OG’s efforts have repeatedly fallen short. Even the return of Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, who briefly stepped back into competition after years away, failed to spark a long-term turnaround. The team’s DreamLeague Division 2 run ended without notable success, leaving management with few options but to start over.

Earlier in the month, OG also disbanded its Latin American (LATAM) roster, which had been formed only months prior. The move effectively leaves OG without any registered Dota 2 players, reducing the organization to its management and support staff.

Change Date Notable Details
Main roster released October 2025 Entire lineup let go after poor season results
LATAM roster disbanded Late September 2025 Team failed to meet competitive expectations
N0tail’s temporary return Mid-2025 Participated in DreamLeague Division 2

Could this mark OG’s final chapter?

The repeated roster overhauls raise questions about OG’s long-term stability. Financial strain and inconsistent tournament results have reportedly placed additional pressure on the organization. With both N0tail and Sébastien “Ceb” Debs stepping in as temporary stand-ins during the year, OG’s depth and structure have clearly been tested.

At present, OG holds no active roster and has no confirmed tournament plans for the remainder of 2025. However, the organization has historically shown resilience, having rebuilt from similar setbacks in the past. Whether OG can once again reestablish itself as a competitive force will depend on its ability to attract new talent and stabilize its operations moving forward.
