Navi qualifies for CSGO major semi-final after win against Heroic

The quarter final of the CSGO PGL Major Antwerp 2022 between Navi and Heroic was blood-curdling. The number two of the world managed to beat the Danish Heroic after three maps in the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. This way, the team qualifies for the semi-finals. Navi will be up against ENCE.

The last quarterfinal of the CSGO major started on Inferno, Heroic's choice. Navi took the first two rounds, followed by an exciting ten minutes in which neither team was able to run away. Heroic caught up with Navi through a brilliant spraydown by Refrezh on four Navi players, but Heroic's utility also helped.

The second half started badly for the Danish team as a slow execute cost them the pistol round. Navi was able to use the momentum of the pistol round to narrow the gap to Heroic, and an excellent spray from boombl4, combined with the trade of S1mple, levelled the score at 10-10. Heroic, however, was able to pull the map to itself from that moment on. Thanks to a brilliant 180 degree spray transfer by TeSes, Heroic took the first map 16-10.

Ancient

Navi's map pick was Ancient. The superstar team took an easy first three rounds before Heroic used an aggressive strategy to limit the score. An impressive 1v3 clutch by Navi's Electronic saw Navi end the half with a 9-6 score. Heroic, led by hypeman and in-game leader Cadian, took the pistol round and the next two rounds, after which the tug of war of the first half continued. Navi quickly gained match point, but a tactical timeout three rounds later ensured the match would go to Nuke.

Nuke

Nuke was the decisive map of the series between the two superpowers. Heroic took the pistol round, but that was also one of the three rounds the team managed to take on the T-side. The Danes managed a brief comeback, but it was to no avail. Navi made it 16-8 and will face ENCE in the semi-final tomorrow.
