You get a fresh look at Marcel, the Soul Photographer, a new Support hero now available on the MLBB Advanced Server. He stands out for his ability to manipulate time, freezing movement and even halting both allied and enemy projectiles in place.
When you use Marcel well, you can disrupt enemy plays, protect teammates, and create controlled setups for coordinated attacks. His unusual mechanics open up new strategies, and you will want to understand how his skills work and when you can expect his global release.
MLBB Marcel skills explained based on the advanced server
Passive – Platinum Snap
Marcel’s basic attacks deal extra Physical Damage that scales with his total Physical Attack, Physical Defense, and Magic Defense. They cannot trigger Critical strikes, and you cannot increase his Attack Speed through items or buffs.
He has strong natural HP regeneration. A portion of any additional HP you build converts into Hybrid Defense, which strengthens both his Physical and Magic durability.
Clemar, his split soul, automatically captures nearby enemy heroes. This effect briefly immobilizes them and deals True Damage based on a percentage of their maximum HP that increases with level.
When this trigger activates, you gain a shield equal to the damage dealt. One nearby ally can also receive the same shield, improving your frontline value in close fights.
Each enemy has an individual cooldown for this effect. Your basic attacks reduce that cooldown, which encourages you to stay within range and keep attacking.
Key scaling sources:
- Total Physical Attack
- Physical Defense
- Magic Defense
- Bonus HP
This design pushes you toward tank and hybrid builds rather than damage-heavy setups.
Skill 1 – Framed Moment
This ability centers on Marcel and activates after a short delay. When it completes, it deals high Physical Damage in an area and briefly immobilizes affected enemies.
The damage scales from the same three core stats as your passive:
| Scaling Stat | Impact |
|---|---|
| Physical Attack | Increases burst damage |
| Physical Defense | Improves damage output |
| Magic Defense | Also contributes to scaling |
Because it scales from defensive stats, you do not sacrifice durability to deal meaningful damage.
You should use this skill during close engagements, especially after your passive immobilizes a target. The short crowd control duration gives your team a window to follow up.
The delay requires basic timing. Position carefully before casting so enemies remain inside the impact zone.
Skill 2 – Tracking Shot
When you activate this skill, you enter a Tracking Haste state and gain bonus Movement Speed for a short time. The speed boost becomes stronger when you move toward enemy heroes.
You can reactivate the skill to dash in a chosen direction. After dashing, you leave a phantom at your original position while Clemar stays there if Skill 1 is active.
This ability gives you controlled mobility rather than pure escape.
You can use it to:
- Chase low-health targets
- Close distance to trigger your passive
- Reposition before casting Skill 1
- Escape after engaging
Because your passive depends on proximity, this mobility plays a central role in your kit. You should move aggressively but remain aware of cooldowns.
Ultimate – Golden Hour
After a brief delay, Clemar captures a wide area for a short duration. Inside this zone, all units except you enter a frozen state where they cannot move and cannot take damage from anyone other than Marcel.
During this time:
- Heroes, minions, and summons stop moving
- Projectiles and ranged basic attacks pause mid-air
- Only you move freely within the zone
While the area remains active, you enter Tracking Haste inside it. This allows you to reposition and continue casting abilities into the frozen space.
Any projectiles or effects you place inside remain suspended. When the duration ends, everything resumes at once, and delayed damage resolves simultaneously.
Golden Hour also refreshes the cooldown of your passive against affected enemies. This enables you to trigger additional immobilizations and shields immediately after the freeze ends.
You should use this ultimate to control objectives, interrupt enemy momentum, or isolate priority targets. Proper timing determines whether you secure a pick or allow enemies to escape once the effect concludes.
When Is Marcel Expected to Launch in MLBB?
MOONTON Games has not confirmed an official release date for Marcel on the original server. You can currently test him on the Advanced Server, where developers continue adjusting his skills and balance.
Because he remains under active development, his abilities and numbers may change before launch. You should treat his current version as a preview rather than a finalized build.
Based on MOONTON’s usual rollout pattern, new heroes often debut at the beginning of a Ranked Season. If the schedule follows recent trends, you can reasonably expect Marcel to arrive around early to mid-March 2026.
| Status | Details |

If you plan to use him at release, monitor patch notes closely. Seasonal updates often confirm final dates and last-minute balance adjustments.
