You are about to see a new rhythm take shape in VALORANT with the arrival of Miks, a Controller from Croatia who channels music into every part of his kit. As the 29th playable character—officially designated as Agent 30—he expands the roster while filling a unique space in the game’s growing lineup.
With Miks, you gain access to a full set of music-driven abilities that shape engagements and support your team’s positioning. His addition brings the total number of Controllers to seven, matching Initiators and Sentinels, while Duelists remain the largest group.
Miks ability rundown in VALORANT
C – M-Pulse
M-Pulse gives you a flexible deployable that shifts between two modes: Concuss or Heal. You switch outputs with alternate fire, then throw the device to a target area.
When it lands, it emits a sonic wave that either disorients enemies or restores health to allies in range. This lets you clear defenders off angles before a push or stabilize teammates after a trade.
You carry two charges, so you can use one aggressively and save the other for mid-round recovery. Pair it with your Combat Stim to increase your team’s advantage in close fights.
Enemies can destroy the device before it activates, so placement matters. Avoid obvious throws that expose it to direct fire.
Q – Harmonize
Harmonize links you with a teammate and grants both of you a Combat Stim. Each elimination refreshes the effect, which rewards coordinated entries and fast trades.
You must have line of sight to your ally, but you can cast through smokes. Walls block the ability, so position carefully before activation.
Use alternate fire to apply the stim only to yourself. Reserve that option for clutch scenarios or moments when no teammate stands nearby.
In most rounds, prioritize empowering your entry or duelist. The refreshed stim effect can shift momentum during site hits.
E – Waveform
Waveform functions as your primary smoke tool. You open a tactical map, place smoke locations, and deploy them at your chosen spots.
You hold two charges, and as your signature ability, it refreshes after a cooldown. Each smoke lasts 16 seconds and features a hollow interior similar to Omen’s, which allows for close positioning and mind games.
Use these smokes to block sightlines during executes or to stall pushes on defense. Because they are not solid inside, expect enemies to play within them.
Console players use swapped inputs for placement and deployment.
X – Bassquake
Bassquake unleashes a forward cone of sonic energy after a brief wind-up. The wave knocks back, deafens, and slows players caught inside it.
Use it to open space before committing to a site or to disrupt a retake attempt. The directional cone requires deliberate aim and timing.
Unlike circular area ultimates, this effect travels outward in front of you. Position yourself to cover key choke points or clustered defenders for maximum impact.
