LoL Worlds 2020: Overview of groups and schedule

The play-in stage of the 2020 League of Legends World Championship is over! Ten teams competed there to fill the last four places in the Main Event groups. After six long and intense playing days, we now know which four teams will be. The Europeans from MAD Lions are – unfortunately for fans of our region – not among them.

But Team Liquid, PSG Talon, LGD Gaming and Unicorns of Love made it. These four teams complete the groups that were already drawn on September 15th. So now we know all four groups A-D with full line-up, which will be played out starting this Saturday, October 3, 2020. Which two teams from each group will make it into the subsequent knockout phase? This is the next big question many fans of LoL E-Sports ask themselves.

Until the answer starts to emerge, after today's end of the Play-In Stage and the last two Decider duels, there will be a two-day Worlds 2020 break. Thursday and Friday will not be played, on Saturday it will continue at 10 am. The „opening game“ of the group stage will be played by FlyQuest and Top Esports in Group D. The first game of a European team will be played at 12 noon on the first of eight group match days. All group days include six games and start every hour from 10am to 3pm.
