LCK Spring 2024 Playoffs

As the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) entered the playoff stage for Spring 2024, teams had already proven their mettle in a nine-week battle that showcased the highest level of professional esports in Korea. The event persevered through challenges, including disruptive DDoS attacks, displaying the resilience and competitive spirit of the participating squads.

Gen.G emerged as the team to beat, soaring to the top with a remarkable 17-1 match record during the regular season. Their dominance was nearly absolute, marred only by a single defeat at the hands of KT Rolster. This setback did little to deter their momentum as they secured the coveted first seed, positioning themselves as the leading contender in the playoff race.

Teams Advancing to the LCK Spring 2024 Playoffs

The elite six in the LCK Spring 2024 have emerged after a highly competitive regular season. These teams are gearing up for the playoffs, which operate on a double-elimination format with each series being a best-of-five contest. The stakes are high with a sizeable prize pool of US$280,000 and the opportunity to represent Korea at the Mid-Season Invitational 2024.

Here's the lineup of teams that have made it through:

  • Gen.G: Dominating the regular season, Gen.G secured the top seed with a stellar 17-1 record. They head straight into Round 2.
  • T1: With a strong performance of a 15-3 match score, T1 comfortably sits as the second seed, also advancing to Round 2.
  • Hanwha Life Esports: Equaling T1's match score but placed third, Hanwha Life Esports will start their playoff journey in Round 1.
  • KT Rolster: Not far behind, KT Rolster claimed the fourth seed with an 11-7 match score and are set to begin in Round 1.
  • Dplus KIA: Holding the middle ground, Dplus KIA managed to qualify with an even 9-9 score, entering the playoffs in Round 1.
  • Kwangdong Freecs: Rounding out the top six, Kwangdong Freecs clutched the last spot despite a 7-11 match score and will commence in Round 1.

Unfortunately, FearX, Nongshim RedForce, OKSavingsBank BRION, and DRX did not make the cut for the playoffs this season. The qualified teams are now poised to compete for the prestigious championship and the honor of international representation.
