You can expect Kuronami 2.0 to expand one of VALORANT’s most recognized skin lines with a fresh set of weapons. This updated bundle adds new designs for the Phantom, Operator, Ghost, and Guardian, along with a melee weapon that features a transforming animation.
Riot Games has scheduled the bundle’s release for April 29, bringing the popular Kuronami theme back into the store with updated visuals and effects. If you enjoyed the original collection, you will see its signature style carried over into a broader weapon lineup.
Kuronami 2.0 Bundle
Kuronami 2.0 continues the shinobi-inspired weapon line first introduced in early 2024. You see the same core identity return, but this time it expands to a new set of firearms and a redesigned melee option.
The collection draws from Sengoku-era ninja themes and blends them with modern weapon design. Each weapon channels flowing water effects, presenting the guns as conduits of controlled elemental force that respond to your actions in-game.
This version adds fresh weapon coverage while keeping the visual formula intact. The bundle includes:
- Melee: Transforming Kunai and Katana
- Phantom
- Operator
- Ghost
- Guardian
- Gun Buddy
- Player Card
- Spray
The melee stands out as the headline addition. You switch between a kunai form and a katana form, supported by a modified idle stance and unique handling animations.
Unique Animations and Core Elements
You can choose from four color variants, consistent with the earlier release:
| Variant | Description |
|---|---|
| Purple | Deep violet tones with luminous accents |
| White | Clean, pale finish with bright water effects |
| Dark Red | Rich crimson styling with darker highlights |
| (Base) | Default themed finish |
The melee transformation delivers the most noticeable visual shift:
- Kunai → Katana: A water blade forms through a hand motion before solidifying.
- Katana → Kunai: The blade dissolves into floating droplets that regroup into the kunai.
All weapons feature custom visual and sound design. You see water gather and shape the firearm during equip animations before it locks into solid form.
Inspection animations partially dissolve the weapon into liquid, accompanied by distinct audio and subtle background music. Reloads replace standard magazine swaps with a water-infused sequence where you summon and return a glowing shuriken to complete the action.
The finisher traps the defeated enemy inside a suspended sphere of water. Rain falls, clouds darken, and lightning flashes overhead while surviving players can break the sphere through interaction. Water elements on the weapon glow during fire, reinforcing the bundle’s elemental theme.
Kuronami 2.0: Cost and Launch Date
You can access Kuronami 2.0 starting April 29. Riot will add the bundle to the in-game store on that date.
The full set costs 9,500 Valorant Points (VP).
You can also purchase select skins separately, but buying the complete bundle grants a price reduction compared to picking up each item on its own.
