How to Kick Yourself in CS2
Counter-Strike can be an intense experience, leaving players feeling overwhelmed, particularly when things aren't going favorably. In such situations, it might be best to remove oneself from the game to avoid hindering teammates or simply because of fatigue. However, directly quitting a match in Counter-Strike results in penalties such as cooldown periods and a reduced trust factor, which can lead to difficulties finding subsequent games and encountering undesirable teammates.
Repeated quitting can lead to extended penalties, making it more strategic to get kicked by teammates instead. Although getting kicked from a competitive game in Counter-Strike isn't straightforward, and convincing teammates remains a challenging task, it offers a preferable alternative to quitting outright. This approach limits the negative impacts on future gameplay and trust factor within the game environment.
How to Call a Vote to Kick Yourself?
- Open the Developer Console: Press the ~ key to bring up the developer console.
- Check Your Status: Type „status“ in the console. Look for your name in the list and note the number that follows [Client].
- Initiate the Vote Kick: Enter the command „callvote kick“, followed by the number you noted earlier. For example, type callvote kick 123.
This will prompt a vote among your teammates to kick you from the game.
