How to Carve Pumpkins in Fortnite?
During the Fortnitemares 2025 event, players can complete the Carve Pumpkins quest by finding and carving five pumpkin clusters scattered around the island. Each site is marked by a white diamond icon that glows when nearby, making them easier to locate once within range. Carving all five grants 10,000 XP and contributes to seasonal progress toward event rewards.

How to Carve
- Approach a pumpkin cluster at any of the listed spots.
- Wait for the on-screen prompt labeled Carve Pumpkins to appear.
- Press the use button for the current platform (for example, E on PC).
- Watch the short animation as the pumpkins transform into lit jack-o’-lanterns.
- Confirm progress on the quest tracker before moving to the next site.
Each carved group updates the player’s total automatically. Once all five are completed, the quest marks as finished, awarding XP and advancing the Fortnitemares challenge tier.
Event Progression
Completing this task also supports advancement in the Fortnitemares 2025 reward track, active from October 9 to November 1, 2025.
