You can only obtain the Purrowl through these birthday rewards, and your odds depend on the pet’s rarity and the age it reaches before leveling up. By raising more young pets in the Pet Pen and consistently aging them, you increase your chances of earning better rewards, including the Purrowl.
How to Unlock Purrowl in Adopt Me
You can obtain Purrowl only through the pet aging system. Each time your currently equipped pet reaches a new growth stage, the game grants you a birthday-style reward with a chance to include this Legendary pet.
- Equip a pet.
- Complete tasks to age it up.
- Receive a reward each time it levels.
- Open the reward for a chance at Purrowl.
Purrowl, often called Meowl by players, features a mix of feline and owl traits. It has cat ears, large round owl eyes, and a brown blend of fur and feathers.
If you collect four fully grown Purrowls, you can merge them to create a Neon Purrowl. The Neon version displays glowing blue accents around its head, wings, and tail.

How the Birthday Magic System Functions
The Birthday Magic feature triggers every time your equipped pet reaches a new growth stage. These stages include Junior, Pre-Teen, Teen, Post-Teen, and Full-Grown.
When your pet levels up, the game automatically grants a birthday reward. This applies to every pet type and rarity, as long as you have it equipped during the age transition.
Birthday rewards come from a randomized pool. As your pet reaches higher stages, the system increases the likelihood of better items.
You can receive rewards such as:
- Bucks
- Eggs
- Chests
- The Legendary Purrowl
The Purrowl entered the game on April 17, 2026, through this update. It remains one of the rarest possible birthday drops.
If you continue progressing a pet after it reaches Full-Grown by raising its Friendship Level, you will receive an Age-Up Potion instead of another birthday gift.
Earning Purrowl and Maximizing Birthday Rewards Faster
You improve your chances by aging up more pets rather than focusing on just one. Each age milestone creates another opportunity for a reward roll.
Use the Pet Pen next to your house to let multiple pets gain experience passively. Pets placed inside earn money and progress even while you are offline.
You can unlock additional Pet Pen slots with Robux to level more than four pets at once. Running one or two alternate accounts also increases the number of birthday reward opportunities you generate.
