Hydro Saurian Version 5 Revealed

A recent leak for Genshin Impact has introduced a fascinating new dragon companion known as the Hydro Saurian. Native to the Natlan region, these non-hostile creatures coexist peacefully with the local inhabitants. The Hydro Saurian, along with its counterparts from different elements, showcases unique abilities such as swimming in water and lava, or moving underground. Upon the release of version 5.0, players will encounter these creatures in their natural habitat.

The trailer for Genshin Impact's Natlan region reveals three types of Saurians representing Hydro, Dendro, and Geo elements. Each Saurian boasts distinct physical features, including drill-like heads, fins, and enormous ears. Gameplay footage from leaker SunYongPS showcases the Hydro Saurian's evolved swimming capabilities and its ability to traverse both water and land. The eagerly awaited version 5.0 update promises to enhance exploration and interaction within Natlan through the unique traits of these creatures.

Genshin Impact's Natlan Will Allegedly Feature Hydro Saurian

In the upcoming Genshin Impact version 5.0, players will encounter a new creature called the Hydro Saurian. This water-dwelling dragon showcases impressive mobility, capable of leaping out of the water much like dolphins and whales. Its physical characteristics include long ears, a set of four legs, colorful eyes, and a slender mouth, bearing a resemblance to the existing Primordial Bathysmal Vishap Hatchling.

The Hydro Saurian will present new gameplay opportunities and limitations. Players reportedly won't be able to access the Dendro or Geo tribe territories while in this form. Attempting to leave the Natlan region while transformed will result in the screen darkening, along with a notification to prevent further movement.

The addition of the Hydro Saurian is part of a broader update centered around Natlan, a region that pays homage to the Pyro archon. This new nation will feature a host of challenges, NPCs, and friendlier creatures. A variety of new cosmetics, weapons, and treasure chests will be included. There will also be time-limited events and enhancements to the game's quality-of-life features.

Three new characters—Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina—are expected to join the playable roster. These characters will bring unique abilities and narratives to enrich the game's storyline. Natlan and its features will be fully explorable with the 5.0 update, which is slated for a late August release.
