G2 Esports announces new League of Legends team

It took a while, but the fans of G2 Esports finally get more information about the team that will participate in the LEC, the European League of Legends Championship, in 2022. As expected, Belgian support ‚Targamas‘ also got a spot.

G2 Esports has a lot to prove in 2022. Despite being known as the most successful ‚League of Legends‘ team in Europe, they failed last year. They finished in a disappointing third and fourth place in the Spring and Summer Split Playoffs, and they also missed out on a participation in the World Championship.

Therefore, G2 Esports decided to turn the team around, so they now welcome no less than three new players. Only jungler Marcin ‚Jankos‘ Jankowski and midlaner Ramus ‚Caps‘ Borregaard Winther remain from the original five. Among the new names we find top planer Sergen ‚Broken Blade‘ Çelik, botlaner Victor ‚Flakked‘ Lirola and Belgian support Raphaël ‚Targamas‘ Crabbé.

For the 21-year-old Targamas, it will be his first season in the LEC, the European ‚League of Legends‘ competition. He previously played for Karmine Corp in the LFL, the regional league of France. Targamas is not completely inexperienced, as he already played for Giants Gaming in the EU LCS, the forerunner of the LEC, in 2018.
