Fallout 76 Season 18

Fallout 76 has introduced its 18th season, Milepost Zero, which launched on September 13. This season brings notable improvements to the game, including a revamped Legendary crafting system with reduced reliance on RNG and various quality-of-life updates, such as a vendor history log.

Moreover, Milepost Zero has also optimized the game by reducing its install size by approximately 10%. However, players need to redownload the game completely to benefit from these changes. Bethesda had been testing these updates on the Public Test Server since August, following an official announcement in June.

F76 Season 18 Launches With New Legendary Crafting System

The latest season of Fallout 76, named Milepost Zero, began on September 3 after a brief maintenance period. The update introduces significant changes to Legendary gear crafting. The system has been overhauled, removing the need for Legendary Cores and offering players more control over Legendary effects on their weapons and armor, reducing reliance on random number generation.

Players can now scrap Legendary items for the chance to receive Mod Boxes, which drop at a rate of one percent for each star of the item. Crafting these mods to items requires Legendary Scrips, with costs increasing up to 1,000 Scrips depending on modifications. Players with a clear configuration can craft the desired weapon for only 50 Scrips, sufficient for attaching three mods. The Legendary Scrip, with a cap of 11,000, cannot be traded but Mod Boxes remain fully tradable.

Gamers can expect new quests, explosive energy weapons, and modifications to existing perks. Some unique in-game challenges can unlock additional bonuses through the season pass.

The visual identity of the season, aligned with the title Milepost Zero, enhances the immersion of players by presenting them with a themed environment. By participating in these activities, players can accrue points to climb the scoreboard and unlock various rewards. This engaging format keeps the adventure fresh and encourages continuous participation.
