ENCE dominates Copenhagen Flames for spot in CSGO Major semi-final

ENCE beat Copenhagen Flames in two bouts to qualify for the semi-finals of the CSGO PGL Major. Tomorrow, the international team will play the winner of the quarterfinal between Navi and Heroic.

The first map of the second day of the Champions phase was Vertigo. Copenhagen Flames had chosen this map in the veto. In retrospect, they may question this choice, as the first half was quite painful for the Danish team. The two quarter-finalists fought hard over the first six rounds and especially Dycha from ENCE proved to be a disaster for the Danes. After the 3-3 score, ENCE took the lead and closed their CT-side with no less than twelve rounds.

It seemed over for Copenhagen Flames, but a comeback with the help of Zyphon and Jabbi seemed to breathe new life into the team for a while. This was short-lived, however, and ENCE closed the folder with a strong 16-10 score.

Comeback was very close

The Copenhagen Flames started Nuke with the goal to show ENCE that they have more to offer than what they showed on Vertigo. The pistol round was for the Danish team. In the second half ENCE managed to take another round, but the momentum was in the hands of the Danish team.

Still the Copenhagen Flames lost the last three rounds of the first half and also the first three rounds of the second half were for ENCE. The Flames looked for an answer, but it did not come. A few clutches by the young superstars of Copenhagen Flames kept the team in the tournament, but the international team led by Snappi was ultimately too strong in this CSGO Major.
