Dota 2 Patch 7.38
The Dota 2 universe is witnessing the much-anticipated arrival of facets for its newest heroes, Kez and Ringmaster, in the Wandering Waters 7.38 patch. This update marks a significant enhancement for the game, finally equipping these heroes with the long-awaited facets that align them with their counterparts. Players have anticipated these developments, eager to see how the additions will alter their gameplay strategies.
Ringmaster, a support hero introduced six months ago, had faced numerous challenges since his inception, including significant nerfs. However, with the introduction of his new facets, he is poised for a notable shift, especially as he gears up for his debut in Captain’s Mode at DreamLeague. This evolution of heroes signifies an exciting new chapter for Dota 2 enthusiasts worldwide, heralding fresh tactics and interactions in gameplay.
Hero of the Flightless Disappears; Kez Players Get Choices via Facets
Kez cannot be used in Captain's Mode or professional matches, providing a unique challenge for players. Within Dota 2, Kez introduces two distinct paths through Facets. The Flutter option is designed for players who enjoy immediate advantages. By alternating between katana and sai, Kez can gain specific benefits. Equipping the katana results in a 12% increase in damage for the first attack or ability. Conversely, selecting the sai allows Kez to move faster for a limited time. Players often opt for Flutter and build towards Aghanim's Scepter, which enables resetting the Switch Discipline cooldown post-ability.
In contrast, the Shadowhawk facet tailors to those who prefer a stealthy, hit-and-run approach. When executing an attack while invisible with the Shodo Sai mark active, enemies face additional critical damage. This facet also reduces cooldowns for both the Shodo Sai and Kazurai Katana when a mark is triggered. Successful play requires keen switching between weapons, yet concentrating on mark activation ensures extra damage bursts.
Fresh Gadgets for Ringmaster After Half a Year Minus a Facet
After spending six months without a facet, Ringmaster now has some intriguing options with his new set of souvenirs. While his core abilities remain unaffected by which facet is chosen, the nature of his Dark Carnival Barker souvenirs will shift based on the selection.
The Carny Classics facet offers the familiar combo of Funhouse Mirror, Strongman Tonic, and Whoopee Cushion. On the other hand, the Sideshow Secrets facet introduces fresh memorabilia: Crystal Ball, Unicycle, and Weighted Pie.
Crystal Ball acts like a Scan, identifying enemy presence in a specific zone for the team. Meanwhile, the Unicycle lets Ringmaster zoom into battle with speed. This swift entry allows him to use the Weighted Pie, which momentarily blinds and pushes back adversaries.
Additionally, with Ringmaster now added to Captain's Mode, the competitive scene eagerly awaits to see how the professionals will harness his abilities during major matches.
