Fumitsuki, as a character in Dislyte, reflects the iconic Japanese folklore figure Kaguya-hime. In the narrative of Dislyte, she seeks newsworthy stories, staying true to her role as a journalist. Players engage with her story through trivia questions, gathering knowledge about her background and pursuits.

Inspiration Behind Fumitsuki (Kaguya-hime)

The character Fumitsuki, drawing on the legend of Kaguya-hime, emerges from the rich tapestry of the Heian-era folklore. She embodies the narrative of a celestial princess found by a bamboo cutter within the luminescent confines of bamboo. Raised by the cutter's family, this moon-born child brings them prosperity. As she matures, her beauty attracts numerous admirers, including the Japanese Emperor.

Her unique ability, Bamboo Cutter, pays homage to her origin story, reflecting the pivotal moment of her discovery. The character's endearing narrative reaches an emotional zenith when faced with her inevitable departure to the lunar realm, she bestows upon the emperor a potion for everlasting life. Emblematic of his unrequited devotion, the emperor chooses to destroy this gift rather than endure immortality without her, and as legend has it, this act is immortalized with the naming of Mount Fuji, a symbol of unending life.

Dislyte Fumitsuki (Kaguya-hime) Abilities

  • Bamboo Slash: Damages a single enemy with an attack scaled on Attack (ATK) strength, also prevents the target from gaining beneficial effects.
  • Lunar Pursuit (Innate Power): Triggers a follow-up attack called Bamboo Slash against an enemy with diminishing health at the end of their turn. If Fumitsuki's health is above a certain threshold, she receives the „Enshrouded“ buff.
    • Enshrouded: Enhances Bamboo Slash to stun the target for one turn. This stun is unavoidable and cannot be blocked. A single enemy cannot be stunned by Fumitsuki consecutively.
  • Celestial Garments: Hits all foes based on ATK power, spreading the „Diseased“ debuff and reducing their Critical Hit Rate (C. RATE). Simultaneously, it provides healing to all her allies.

All of Fumitsuki’s powers are inspired by her mythic roots, with her wielding a bamboo prop and her skills—Bamboo Slash, Lunar Pursuit, and Celestial Garments—mirroring the legendary tales. These skills are outlined in the update notes for patch 3.4.3 of the role-playing game Dislyte.
