Blizzard launches Diablo 4 Season 14, titled Season of Death Awakening, on June 30. You can expect new seasonal mechanics, a significant rework to Mythic Unique items, and the return of Realmwalker events. The update also introduces Solo Self Found mode and adds improvements to War Plans, the Tower, and Leaderboards.
Season 14 follows the major changes introduced with the Lord of Hatred expansion, but it brings its own set of features to explore. You will see updates to high-end gear through Mythic Unique 3.0, a new seasonal experience, a limited-time Warlock trial, and additional crossover content designed to keep the endgame fresh.
Diablo 4 Season 14 Comes with a Free Trial of the Warlock Class
Season 14 gives you temporary access to the Warlock, even if you do not own the Lord of Hatred expansion. You can test the class before deciding whether to purchase permanent access.
The free trial runs for a limited window and is available across all major platforms.
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Trial Period | June 30 – July 7, 2026 |
| Platforms | Battle.net, PlayStation, Xbox |
| Level Cap During Trial | Up to Level 25 |
| Full Access Requires | Lord of Hatred expansion |
You can level the Warlock to 25, experiment with core abilities, and evaluate its playstyle in live seasonal content. This cap gives you enough time to understand its mechanics without unlocking its full endgame progression.
If you decide to buy the expansion, you retain full access to the Warlock and the Paladin class. The trial removes the barrier to entry while keeping expansion content tied to purchase.
Season 14 introduces more than just a playable class preview. Ruptures now tear across Sanctuary, spawning powerful Realmwalkers. When you defeat one, you unlock access to the Deathtoll Chamber, a mini-dungeon that rewards Superior Lair Keys.
You need these keys to challenge the new seasonal Lair Boss. Closing Ruptures also grants Glints of Hope, which advance your progress on the Season 14 reputation board.
A new enemy faction called the Risen joins the battlefield. Among them, the most dangerous threat is the Corrupted Reaper, found in the Pandemonium Threshold in Zarbinzet.
When you defeat this boss, you can earn:
- Mythic Unique items
- Pandemonium Fragments
- Materials for Horadric Cube upgrades
Season 14 also updates item progression through Mythic Unique 3.0. Mythic status now acts as a quality tier rather than a separate rarity.
You can upgrade standard Unique items into Mythic versions using the Horadric Cube. This upgrade increases the item’s unique power by 30%.
You may equip:
- One crafted Mythic Unique
- Additional Mythic Uniques obtained as drops
This system expands build options while maintaining balance limits.
The season also includes a crossover event featuring themed skins inspired by Overwatch characters such as Genji, Reaper, Mercy, Reinhardt, Brigitte, Moira, Roadhog, and Kiriko.
Diablo 4 originally launched on June 5, 2023. Blizzard continues to expand its action RPG systems with seasonal mechanics, limited-time trials, and structured item updates that directly affect how you build and test new classes like the Warlock.
