CS2 Cache Faceit Season 8

You can jump into Cache in CS2 right now, even though Valve has not released its official rework of the classic map. FACEIT Season 8 features a playable version created by FMPONE, giving you early access through the platform’s matchmaking system.

Season 8 adds Cache as the eighth map in the pool, and you can choose whether to queue for it. This optional format lets you test the map in competitive play without forcing it into your regular rotation.

FACEIT Season 8 Is Now Active With Cache: How You Queue and Play

When you open FACEIT in Season 8, you see eight maps in the matchmaking pool instead of seven. Cache joins the rotation in its CS2 version, bringing the total map count up for regular queue play.

Before you search for a match, download Cache from the Steam Workshop. The file size exceeds 3GB, and FACEIT gives you limited time to connect once a match is ready.

If the map is not installed and your connection is slow, you risk missing the join window and receiving a penalty. Install it in advance to avoid bans and last-minute downloads.

After installation, enable Cache in your map preferences. During the veto phase, it can still be removed like any other map.

Key setup steps:

  1. Subscribe to Cache on Steam.
  2. Confirm the download completes.
  3. Enable Cache in your FACEIT map pool.
  4. Queue and play as normal.

All Cache matches in Season 8 affect your Elo. Your performance on the map counts fully toward your ranking, just like every other map in the pool.

If you prefer not to play Cache, disable it in your map settings. You do not need FACEIT Plus or Premium to remove it from your queue. If you already subscribe to a paid plan, disabling Cache does not reduce your minimum required map selections.

Season 8 also introduces a soft Elo reset. You must complete 10 placement matches to establish your starting level for the season.

FACEIT now displays a numerical FACEIT Rating, which measures how your in-game actions influence your team’s chance to win. Focus on effective team play instead of stat padding.

Premium subscribers gain access to detailed round-by-round radar analysis. You can review positioning and decision-making directly on the platform without downloading demos.

Season 8 updates both the map pool and the competitive structure, giving you new tools and a fresh start in ranked play.
