Congress EsportsX moved, but online variant
Esports Congress EsportsX will be moved by two months due to the corona pandemic. The congress was supposed to take place on January 28, but will now take place on Thursday, April 7. However, a free online variant will be set up on the 28th, with a smaller program.
According to the organization of EsportsX, at the end of January it was not possible to organize the congress in „all its glory“. A baleful moment for the organization, as it says it has already sold nearly a full house of tickets.
In addition to rescheduling the congress, there will be a free digital show on January 28. That show will last from 12:30 to 14:30, and will host speakers such as Marcella de Bie (Gaming Host and popular streamer), Nick Hoogebeen of the KNVB and Arnoud Schonis of the eDivisie. The digital show will cover topics such as TikTok, gaming and brands, and esports influencer strategy. Registration for the free online conference is possible through the website of EsportsX.
Physical EsportsX on Thursday April 7
The physical EsportsX congress will take place later this year. The congress is an important networking opportunity for people active in the esports industry. There will be speakers from various roles in the industry, and it will conclude with a networking reception. Some of the major attendees during EsportsX this year include Mcdonald's, KPN, ESL, 433, Ubisoft and McLaren Racing.
EsportsX began in 2017 and is an annual event, which it says has brought together a total of „more than 2,500 marketers, policymakers, senior executives and other representatives. Last year, due to the corona pandemic, an all-digital version took place.
Tickets for EsportsX are available on the organization's website. The full program can also be found there.
