Activision and Treyarch have outlined what players can expect in the first major update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The upcoming Season 1 will expand the game’s content across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame modes, while also bringing new updates to Warzone. Launching on December 4, the season’s material will be available to both game owners and Xbox Game Pass players.
The release follows a mixed start for Black Ops 7. While its multiplayer systems have earned positive feedback from critics and fans, the game’s campaign has seen poor reception, and overall sales have fallen below earlier franchise entries. The introduction of Season 1 aims to reinforce engagement with new gameplay opportunities and added progression paths across multiple modes.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Full Season 1 Roadmap Revealed
Treyarch has outlined its extensive content schedule for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1, emphasizing a large-scale rollout across all modes. The update introduces a wide range of new weapons, maps, and gameplay features designed to refresh both competitive and cooperative experiences. Scheduled to begin December 4, the season expands on core systems while responding to player feedback from past entries.
Multiplayer Updates
Season 1 delivers seven maps in total—four brand-new arenas and three returning classics from earlier Call of Duty titles. The new locations include Fate, Utopia, Odysseus, and Yakei, the latter launching midseason. Remastered favorites such as Standoff, Meltdown, and Fringe will also rotate in throughout the season. A holiday version of Hijacked joins the lineup to celebrate the winter content window.
Nine multiplayer modes make an appearance, including returning party favorites like Gun Game, One in the Chamber, Prop Hunt, and Sticks and Stones. Seasonal events will feature themed variations such as Codmas Holiday Havoc and Codmas Snowfight. Players can also try Takeover, a new option expected later in the cycle.
A fresh Deadeye Drone Scorestreak enters the arsenal, offering an automated tactical advantage. The weapon list grows with seven additions: Maddox RFB, Ballistic Knife, Kogot-7, Sokol 545, Sturmwolf 45, NX Ravager, and Hawker HX. Some items unlock through the Battle Pass, others through weekly or in-season events. Additional attachments expand customization for the Akita, MPC‑25, M8A1, Coda 9, and AK‑27.
| Category | New Additions | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Maps | Fate, Utopia, Odysseus, Yakei | Launch/In‑Season |
| Returning Maps | Standoff, Meltdown, Fringe | In‑Season |
| Modes | 9 total, including Gun Game & Prop Hunt | Mixed rollout |

Endgame and Zombies Content
The Endgame segment adds four world events and eight exotic skills to deepen long-term progression. In Zombies, a new round-based area, Astra Malorum, becomes available midseason. Two survival maps accompany it, plus a Directed Mode option for Ashes of the Damned. The mode also brings the LGM‑1 Wonder Weapon, a new enemy type called O.S.C.A.R., various Field Upgrades, and the return of the Mule Kick perk.
These additions aim to expand both solo and cooperative play, tying narrative and mechanical elements together across different zombie encounters.
Warzone Integration
Season 1 merges Black Ops 7 systems with Warzone by implementing shared loadouts and balance changes. A fresh Resurgence map, Haven’s Hollow, anchors the update, complemented by new Verdansk points of interest—Signal Station and Factory. Loadouts now use a five‑attachment limit, Overkill activates automatically, and Wildcards are removed.
New tactical gear and perks accompany the shift, encouraging varied squad strategies and quicker engagements. Seasonal events and limited-time modes will rotate through, ensuring Warzone retains continuity with the mainline experience.
Battle Pass Adjustments
Player progression through the Battle Pass receives measurable tuning. Battle Pass Tokens appear in select daily challenges, early tiers are shorter, and overall unlock pacing has been reduced. Treyarch implemented these refinements to smooth reward acquisition while maintaining balanced advancement for dedicated players.
