Brazilian e-sportsman Call of Duty kills other player

An argument between two Brazilian Call of Duty athletes has turned into a murder. Nineteen-year-old Ingrid ‚Sol‘ Oliveira Bueno da Silva was found dead Monday in the home of Guilherme ‚Flashlight‘ Alves Costa, who confessed to killing her.

According to ESPN Brazil, the woman was found with multiple stab wounds in Alves‘ home. She was no longer alive at the time. Alves was arrested by police shortly after the murder and immediately confessed to killing Oliveira.

In a video of his arrest, Alves says that his „mental health is fine“ and that he „wanted to kill the woman.“ He reportedly made plans to do so several weeks ago.

According to Gamers Elite, the team Alves played for, he also allegedly filmed the murder. He then allegedly distributed the video in a group chat on WhatsApp, which included his fellow players. The footage was handed over to the police.

The two had met on the Internet some time ago. What they were arguing about is not clear. Fantastic Brazil Impact, the team Oliveira played for, says it is deeply saddened by her death.
