Astro Bot Update 1.003
Astro Bot, a freshly released 3D platformer from Team Asobi, has sparked significant interest among the gaming community. Within a week of its launch, the game received an update, but the exact nature of this update remains unclear, as neither Sony nor Team Asobi have released any patch notes.
Despite this lack of information, there is widespread speculation that the update might address issues related to game-saving, particularly problems that result in lost progress during crashes. This ambiguity surrounding the update has left many players curious, especially as the game continues to receive critical acclaim and strong sales figures, albeit falling short of initial projections in Japan.
Astro Bot's Latest Update Is a Mystery
Despite the charm and affection for PlayStation that Astro Bot brings, the latest update, labeled as version 1.003, adds an extra layer of intrigue to the game. The patch, which was released on September 12, is notably small at around 384MB. While it is common knowledge that this update aims to fix various bugs, the specifics remain undisclosed by the developers, Team Asobi.
One highlight of the update is its likely resolution of a save data issue, which had been a point of frustration for players. This aspect of the update has been discussed in community forums, with several users confirming improvements in their save data functionality.
Interestingly, the game itself hasn’t quite met sales expectations in Japan. Between September 2-8, Astro Bot managed to sell 12,700 physical copies, which is underwhelming for a first-party title. Despite this, the game still secured the second spot in sales charts, just behind Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost. This, however, doesn’t account for digital sales, which continue to rise and could paint a more favorable picture for the game’s success.
