Bombardier Cells play a central role in your long-term progression in Arc Raiders. You can only obtain these rare resources by defeating Bombardier ARC units, which makes them one of the most limited materials in the game.
You need Bombardier Cells to upgrade your refinery to level 3, a milestone that unlocks deeper endgame systems. Understanding why these cells matter and where they come from helps you plan your runs more efficiently and avoid wasted effort.
How to Get Bombardier Cell Arc Raiders
You obtain Bombardier Cells by defeating Elite Bombardiers, the mobile artillery units that patrol high-value zones. These machines rely on long-range mortar fire, so you need planning before you engage.
You should focus your runs on Buried City, specifically Marano Park and Plaza Rosa. These locations consistently spawn Elite variants and support repeatable farming routes.
Your loadout must prioritize armor penetration and burst damage. Hullcracker delivers strong results if you can afford it, while Ferro remains a workable alternative with proper positioning.
Recommended combat setup
- Primary weapon: Hullcracker or Ferro
- Grenades: 2 Wolfpack Grenades
- Utility: 3–4 Snap or Trigger Grenades
- Tactical: Smoke grenades for extraction cover
Grenades soften the target before sustained fire. You reduce risk by stripping armor early rather than trading damage.
Each Bombardier deploys two Spotter drones that guide mortar strikes. Destroy these drones first to limit tracking and create openings in its armor.
Once engaged, attack from the rear armor, where resistance is weakest. Grenades perform best here, especially slower-burning types that linger and deal steady damage.
Defensive positioning matters. You benefit from enclosed rooftops, overhead cover, and multiple exit paths to avoid predictive shelling.
After the kill, deploy smoke immediately. This prevents third-party threats while you collect loot.
Bombardier Cells drop from large body components, not just the core. Always loot the torso and legs, plus any detached debris.
| Outcome | Expected Cells |
|---|---|
| Standard drop | 3–4 Cells |
| Favorable RNG | Up to 6 Cells |
Activating Looting MK.2 protects up to six collected cells if you fall before extraction. This greatly reduces risk during extended farming runs.
