Apex Mid-Season 22 Patch Notes

Players of Apex Legends can expect significant updates with the recent mid-season 22 patch, set to take effect on Tuesday. Notably, the character Revenant, who has been a persistent challenge for ranked players, will receive a long-awaited nerf, which aims to make gameplay less taxing.

Additionally, Valkyrie is undergoing substantial changes, and the Turbocharger will be removed from the game. Despite these updates, the Akimbo P2020 and Mozambiques remain unchanged.

Apex Mid-Season 22 Patch Notes: Balance Updates

Gold Weapons Rotation:

  • Mozambique Akimbo
  • P2020 Akimbo
  • EVA-8
  • VK-47 Flatline
  • G7 Scout

Gameplay:

Players will notice an added announcer voice line when a Loot Bin Reset occurs, providing better clarity during matches. The spawn rate for certain high-value loot items, such as backpacks, hop-ups, and gold attachments, has been decreased after the reset to balance gameplay.

If a Loot Bin is opened just before the reset, the loot will be ejected onto the ground, allowing players to retrieve desirable items immediately. Legendary Loot Bins will now contain fewer gold items through Smart Loot, while Mythic Loot Bins will more consistently offer large healing items.

The spawning logic for Legendary (Gold) Loot Bins has also been updated, reducing their number and ensuring a more even distribution across the map. There is now a greater chance for players to find gold weapons. Additionally, white and blue rarity attachments and equipment have been removed, as well as Phoenix Kits and hop-ups from possible loot.

Recoil has been improved for better accuracy. Ammo spawning alongside guns is now standardized to a single brick, doubling the amount. Additionally, the Gun Shield Generator spawns less frequently, and its rarity has been elevated to Purple.

Apex mid season patch notes Legend Updates:

Several significant updates have been made to Legends in the latest Apex mid-season patch. To improve gameplay balance and provide a better experience, numerous adjustments have been implemented.

A cap has been added to the max radius of scan areas, limiting it to 450 units plus 50% of the default radius. Mortar targeting on multiple objects within a player's control is now disallowed to prevent perfect setups. The delay before re-entering the Sheila turret has been reduced to 0.15 seconds from 1 second. These changes aim to ensure more balanced and fair gameplay.

Further updates include a reduction in the shield health for Forged Shadows to 50 from the previous 75. The activation time for this ability has also been doubled. Now classified as a Recon Legend instead of a Skirmisher, the Legend also benefits from a full tank upgrade, which now includes a 50% reduction in refuel delay to 4 seconds, down from 8 seconds. Gains Threat Vision while jetpacking, staying active until the Legend touches the ground or a zipline, and the Jetpack UI now includes a refuel delay timer.

The missile explosion radius has been increased by 20%, while the minimum attack range has been decreased by 25%, allowing for closer enemy engagement. The maximum missile travel time has been reduced to 4 seconds from 4.5, and the fire rate for launching missiles has been increased to 25 from 18.
