Apex Legends: Character Fuse is here
On 2 February, another legend will join the Battle Royale shooter Apex Legends with the start of Season 8. It is Fuse, who will bring chaos to King’s Canyon.
Season 8 is called “Mayhem” and brings with it the first major update for Apex Legends in 2021. Among other things, it includes the new character Fuse, who was traditionally introduced in a “Stories from the Outlands” video. In it, Legends is portrayed as an outlaw who spends his time brawling and doing mercenary jobs. “Fuse doesn’t lack confidence, but often lacks a meaningful plan. He is the chase-first-ask-questions-later type,” the developers write.
Apart from his backstory, nothing is yet known about Fuse’s abilities, but both the graphic on Respawn’s website and the few words on it suggest some conclusions about his theme – high-calibre weapons and explosions. Fuse is using some kind of rocket launcher in the picture, most likely related to his Ultimate. He is also carrying lots of ammunition on his body. The website appropriately says “Time to bring the Boom”. Possibly his mechanical arm and passion for fist fights is also a hint at his abilities.
Chaos on King’s Canyon
This is not the first time the popular map has undergone a transformation by a legend. In Season 5, for example, Skull Town was destroyed by Loba and the Syndicate, while new camps were added. Fuse’s appearance is also expected to have a massive impact on the map, producing new Hot Zones. Respawn promises “extreme changes” in Season 8, which has been dubbed “Chaos”. Apart from superficial information on the new weapon, the 30-30 bolt action rifle, the developers are keeping a low profile.
