The Pokémon GO Alolan Geodude Community Day kicks off this weekend. This rock and electric-type Pokémon will appear in large numbers throughout the day. Want to make sure you get a great Alolan Geodude? Read on as we tell you everything you need to know to get the most out of this Community Day.

The Alolan Geodude Community Day will take place on Saturday 21 May from 11:00 to 14:00. Are you on holiday and therefore in a different time zone? Then the same times apply for you. This Community Day will also last three hours, so be well prepared.

Getting the most out of Alolan Geodude Community Day

As far as we're concerned, Alolan Geodude Community Day is the best time to play Pokémon GO. Rock and electric-type Pokémon are special on their own, but it's also possible to catch a shiny version of Alolan Geodude. The catch rate for this is one in 25.

Will you be able to evolve Alolan Graveler during or two hours after the event? Then your Alolan Golem will learn the Fast Attack Rollout. This is the first Pokémon with this Fast Attack. In a trainer battle, it gives four power and in a gym or raid, 14 power.

On 21 May, it will again be possible to purchase a special Research Story. A Rocky Road‘ costs €1.00 and gives you extra assignments, allowing you to earn extra cool rewards. It is now also possible to give this special research story to a friend as a gift.

Use an incense or lure module
Use the pinap berries you've gathered
Visit a location with multiple lure modules
Throw a great or excellent throw for extra XP

Alolan Golem in the GO Battle League

In some cases, Alolan Golem can be used in the Pokémon GO Battle League. In the Great League, it's best to use an Alolan Golem with low attack, high defence, and high stamina. An example of this is 1/14/15.

This Pokémon can also be used in the Ultra League. As in the Great League, you're best off with a low attack, high defence, and high stamina. The combination 0/15/15 is the best. Is it a little off? No problem, then your new acquisition will still be useful. Finally, in the Master League a combination of 15/15/15 is desirable.
