Aegislash added to Pokémon Unite
In Pokémon Unite, the Pokémon MOBA you can play on the Switch and mobile, you can now play a new Pokémon: Aegislash. This Pokémon, which looks like a floating sword and shield, fills the All-Rounder role and fights in melee.
Gameplay
Aegislash begins the game as Honedge, which evolves into Doublade at level five and Aegislash at level seven. What makes Aegislash unique is that once he reaches his final evolution, he can switch between a Blade form and a Shield form, allowing him to choose to attack or defend as best he can. In other words, a true all-rounder! Aegislash has an offensive move, Shadow Sneak, and a defensive move, Iron Defense. When he uses an offensive move he changes to his Blade form, when he uses a defensive move he changes to his Shield form. In Blade form Aegislash moves faster and does more damage, while in Shield form he has better defense and restores lives when attacking.
Moves
The moves Aegislash starts with are Shadow Sneak and Iron Defense. Shadow Sneak moves you forward and does damage against enemy Pokémon, while Iron Defense briefly gives you better defense. Shadow Sneak can be upgraded to Sacred Sword or Shadow Claw. Sacred Sword does damage in a triangular area around Aegislash, while Shadow Clas does damage in a chosen direction. Both moves also knock down enemy Pokémon.
Iron Defense can be upgraded to Wide Guard or Iron Head. When using Wide Guard, Aegislash cannot move for a while but gains a large shield around it, while Iron Head causes Aegislash to move forward, do damage against hostile Pokémon in its path, and gain a small shield. Aegislash's Unite attack is Coup de Grace, which does a lot of damage against enemy Pokémon in a chosen direction.
