Sprite Chests act as a dedicated source for Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 3. You will find 33 possible spawn points scattered across the Shattered Coast map.
These containers stand out from regular and Relic Chests. They resemble old, reinforced chests with a blue glow and a pink crystal mounted on top. When you move close, you hear an audio cue similar to earlier Vault Chests.
Opening one always grants a Sprite plus standard loot. That guarantee makes them more valuable than normal chest spawns when you focus on building your collection.
Sprite Chests do not appear in every match at every location. Each confirmed spot has a chance to spawn one, so you need to check multiple known areas if you want consistent results.
They appear less often than regular chests, but once you learn their visual design and typical spawn points, you can identify them quickly during a drop.
Vaults also increase your odds.
- Small Vaults contain a rare chest, Slurp barrels, and one Sprite Chest.
- Large Sprite Vaults hold multiple Sprite Chests along with high-tier loot.
You can access the two epic Sprite Vaults at Frosted Flats and Sinister Strip. Both sit underground and require a legendary keycard to open. Keys and keycards drop randomly from chests across the island.
How Sprites Affect Your Gameplay
Sprites function as floating companion spirits that appear as Back Bling during a match. When you equip one, it grants a passive ability that changes how you approach fights and looting.
In this season, you must discover Sprites during a match and extract them at a designated point to permanently unlock them for future use. If an opponent eliminates you before extraction, they can take your carried Sprite.
Each Sprite offers a unique bonus. For example, the Earth Sprite increases your chances of pulling higher-rarity loot from chests.
You can also find Gold variants. These share the same base perk as their standard versions but add an extra benefit: every elimination rewards 1,600 XP. Over several eliminations, that can stack into thousands of XP in a single match.
At the start of a match, you choose between Water, Earth, and Fire Sprites. As you explore and open Sprite Chests, you can replace your current Sprite with a new one you find.
Because elimination drops your carried Sprite, positioning and timing matter. If you want to secure a rare or Gold Sprite, rotate toward extraction instead of chasing unnecessary fights.

Sinister Strip contains the highest concentration with four potential spawns.
Calamari Canyon, Heatwave Harbor, Shaken Sanctuary, and Wonkeeland each offer three.
If you want efficiency, plan your drop around high-density areas. You can then rotate toward nearby vaults for additional Sprite Chest chances.
Since spawns rotate between matches, treat each listed location as a potential point rather than a guaranteed find. Checking multiple nearby spots in one route increases your odds of securing a Sprite early.
