Persona 4 Revival Gameplay

Persona 4 Revival rebuilds the 2008 RPG with modern visuals and updated systems while preserving its core structure. You still explore Inaba, build Social Links, and enter TV World dungeons with a four-character party.

Combat remains turn-based, but you gain access to mechanics inspired by later entries. Systems similar to Baton Pass and Series Finale encourage you to chain attacks between teammates for higher damage and tactical flexibility.

The familiar One More system evolves into “Four More,” rewarding you more heavily for exploiting enemy weaknesses. When you knock down multiple foes, you maintain momentum longer and control the pace of battle.

You also approach encounters differently. Instead of simply striking roaming Shadows from behind, you can now parry incoming attacks to secure an Advantage state before combat begins.

Menus and character portraits adopt a sharper, more stylized presentation. The interface reflects the design direction seen in newer Persona titles while keeping the identity of Persona 4 intact.

Marie appears as part of the core experience, confirming that content introduced in the expanded edition carries over. You engage with her story alongside the original investigation team.

The game launches on February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.

Main Cast and Voice Talent

The Japanese voice cast returns for key roles:

  • Daisuke Namikawa as Yu Narukami
  • Showtaro Morikubo as Yosuke Hanamura
  • Yui Horie as Chie Satonaka
  • Ami Koshimizu as Yukiko Amagi
  • Kana Hanazawa as Marie

SEGA has not announced the English cast. Yuri Lowenthal, who originally voiced Yosuke in English, confirmed in 2025 that he will not reprise the role.

ATLUS plans a dedicated broadcast on June 18 at 4 PM PT to present deeper details about the story, characters, and battle updates.
