You can jump into a new limited-time Fallout 76 event that runs through June 15, giving you the chance to claim a range of in-game rewards. Bethesda tied this promotion to a broader push that spotlights the game’s latest content updates and encourages you to explore what’s new in Appalachia.
Season 25, Appalachia Under Siege, launched on June 2 and introduced the Infestations system, which sends hostile factions to overrun locations across the map. These rotating encounters aim to keep your exploration dynamic, whether you prefer to roam solo or tackle challenges with a group.
Fallout 76 P.R.O.T.E.C.T. Protocol Community Challenge Arrives With Fresh Daily Freebies
You can take part in the new P.R.O.T.E.C.T. Protocol event, which began on June 7 and runs through June 15. Bethesda built this limited-time activity around the recently added Infestation encounters, turning them into the centerpiece of a global objective shared by the entire player base.
Every Infestation you clear during the event contributes to a cumulative target. If the community defeats 500,000 Infestations before the deadline, all participants will unlock the Brotherhood Protector Power Armor as a reward.
Alongside the challenge, you can claim free daily items from the Atomic Shop. These rewards rotate each day through June 15, and you do not need to complete Infestations to receive them. Simply log in and redeem the item while it is available.
The first items in the lineup include:
- Abraxo Paint for T-51 Power Armor
- Clean Mr. Fuzzy Headwear
Bethesda has not officially revealed the full schedule of daily rewards in advance. Each item becomes visible in the Atomic Shop on its assigned day, reinforcing the incentive to log in consistently during the promotion.
The event places strong emphasis on repeated combat and looting, since Infestations generate steady waves of enemies and materials. To support that gameplay loop, Bethesda is also offering a temporary Fallout 1st preview during the same window. You can claim the trial in the Atomic Shop for limited access to selected membership benefits.
The preview includes:
- Unlimited Scrapbox storage
- Aid Box access
- A deployable Survival Tent
- A 10% S.C.O.R.E. boost
These features ease inventory pressure, especially if you plan to farm Infestations repeatedly. Managing weight and crafting components becomes more streamlined during the event period.
The P.R.O.T.E.C.T. Protocol challenge also overlaps with other scheduled activities. A Scrip Surplus and Double Mutations event begins June 11, adding more incentives to stay active. Later in the month, Double Meat Week returns on June 23.
Looking ahead, Season 25 continues until early September 2026. Bethesda has also scheduled a short-format mini-season, Summer Sock Hop, from July 21 through August 4. July will additionally introduce Bratsnacht, a summer-themed variation of the traditional Fasnacht event.
You can approach P.R.O.T.E.C.T. Protocol casually by collecting daily rewards, or you can commit to clearing Infestations to push the community toward its shared milestone. Either way, the event concentrates player activity into a defined period and ties individual effort directly to a collective unlock.
