Apex Legends Aftershock event release date
You can jump into the Aftershock event starting March 31, 2026. EA schedules the limited-time update to run through April 21, 2026, giving you roughly three weeks to play the refreshed Wildcard mode and unlock event rewards.
During this window, you gain access to the new Vortex Shield system for every Legend. The shield blocks incoming fire and lets you send stored damage back at opponents, but it drains energy that you must refill by gathering EVO.
You can also trigger an EMP Blast to stun enemies and destroy cover. Recharge your EMP Battery by absorbing damage with the Vortex Shield, collecting EVO, or activating Wild Cards.
Limited-time cosmetics and themed rewards remain available only until the event ends.
