Season 2 Reloaded arrives next week in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone, bringing a substantial midseason update across multiplayer, Zombies, and battle royale. You can expect new modes, maps, and the return of a reworked Blackout-inspired experience designed to refresh Warzone’s formula.
Although the game launched with modest sales, you have likely noticed its growing player activity in recent months. Activision aims to build on that momentum with this update, outlining clear additions across every major mode to keep you engaged through the rest of Season 2.
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 2 Reloaded Launch Date
Season 2 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on March 12, 2026, with rollout times beginning in the morning PT across platforms. You can download the update as part of the mid-season patch for multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone.
This update expands map rotation, refreshes perks, and adds new PvE systems.
Blackout Mode Returns to Warzone
You can jump into Black Ops Royale, a mode inspired by the original Blackout experience. It brings a familiar structure with updated mechanics tailored to the current Warzone sandbox.
Warzone also adjusts several perks:
- Berserker replaces Bomb Squad
- Momentum replaces Alertness (Perk Slot 2)
- Hunter replaces Tracker (Perk Slot 3)
These swaps shift how you approach tracking, survivability, and aggressive playstyles. If you rely on mobility or close-quarters pressure, you will notice immediate changes in engagements.
Zombies Expands With New Threats and Tools
Zombies adds a new enemy type called the Rad-Hound. When you eliminate it, it detonates and releases radiation, forcing you to manage spacing and positioning.
You can counter threats using the returning Electro Shock Trap, which helps control chokepoints. The map also includes loot cysts that contain useful gear, encouraging exploration during rounds.
Perk Machines now randomize locations, changing early-round planning. If you enable the Cursed modifier, you start with only a pistol and limited HUD elements. In exchange, you gain access to hidden relic-based rewards that deepen progression.
Multiplayer and Core Content Updates
Multiplayer gains five additional maps across multiple sizes:
| Map | Size | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Firing Range | Small | Franchise favorite, new to BO7 |
| Torque | Small | Compact layout |
| Cliff Town | Medium | Remastered map |
| Grind | Medium | Returns from BO6 |
| Mission: Peak | Skirmish | Medieval setting with vertical sightlines |
Endgame introduces Glitch Fractures, wave-based encounters set inside corrupted C-Link data. Survive escalating enemies and defeat a Strike Boss to unlock Nightmare abilities such as Nova Strike, Chaos Rounds, and Frost Vortex.
After clearing a Strike Boss, you can earn the Exotic Fabricator, which upgrades eligible loadouts or field gear into Exotic-tier weapons.
