OG Announce A New Dota 2 Roster Team

After a challenging year marked by inconsistent performances and roster instability, OG has taken a decisive step to rebuild its presence in the Dota 2 scene. The organization, known for its championship legacy, recently parted ways with its previous lineup following a series of disappointing results across major tournaments and qualifiers.

Now, OG looks to redefine its competitive identity by shifting focus to Southeast Asia and signing the Filipino squad formerly known as Team Aureus. This move signals a fresh chapter for the team, combining OG’s storied history with the energy and potential of a rising regional roster.

OG returns, with a move to Southeast Asia

OG has taken a decisive step by shifting its Dota 2 operations to the Southeast Asian region. The organization completed the acquisition of Team Aureus, forming a new roster composed entirely of Filipino players. This move marks a strategic realignment aimed at revitalizing OG’s competitive presence while strengthening ties with a region known for its passionate fan base and emerging talent.

The new lineup includes several established names in the SEA scene:

Team leader Sébastien “Ceb” Debs expressed optimism about the transition, emphasizing OG’s long-standing connection with the region and confidence that Southeast Asia could soon claim major victories under the organization’s banner. His remarks reflected both respect for SEA’s competitive spirit and belief in the roster’s potential to deliver results.

The team will debut under the OG name at PGL Wallachia Season 6, a major LAN event scheduled for November 15–23 in Romania. With this lineup, OG seeks not only to stabilize its performance after a turbulent season but also to establish a lasting foundation in Southeast Asia’s growing Dota 2 landscape.
