Valorant Patch Notes 11-04 Latest Updates

VALORANT’s 11.04 update introduces several notable adjustments aimed at improving both gameplay balance and player experience. A key highlight of this patch is the addition of a new server located in Manila, which is expected to provide players in the Philippines with more stable connections and reduced latency.

Alongside server expansion, the update delivers balance changes to agents, with Chamber and Sage receiving ability improvements to refine their roles in matches. These updates continue Riot Games’ ongoing efforts to fine-tune competitive play while also expanding accessibility for a growing regional player base.

New server in Manila

Riot has rolled out a dedicated server in Manila to improve stability and latency for players in the Philippines and nearby regions. This move addresses long-standing concerns from Southeast Asian players who previously relied on the Hong Kong server, which often resulted in inconsistent performance.

The Manila server is designed to reduce delays and provide smoother matchmaking. Filipino players can now select this server directly, while still having the option to connect to other regions if preferred. According to Riot, the Hong Kong server will continue to operate without disruption, ensuring flexibility for those who want to switch between servers.

Key points:

  • Location: Manila, Philippines
  • Purpose: Lower ping and better matchmaking for SEA players
  • Availability: Players can still queue on other servers

Esports shop gifting option

The gifting system now supports bundles from the esports store. Players can purchase and send team-branded collections directly to friends, expanding the original gifting feature introduced earlier in the year.

This update provides an easy way for fans to support professional organizations while sharing exclusive cosmetics. It also adds flexibility for players who want to coordinate themed loadouts with teammates.

Highlights of the update:

  • Esports bundles can now be gifted
  • Works the same as other in-game gifts
  • Encourages team support through shared cosmetics

Agent Adjustments

Chamber

Chamber has struggled to maintain relevance after several reductions to his strength, leaving him less favored compared to other sentinels. To restore his effectiveness, developers have lifted the Trademark range restriction. This adjustment gives players more freedom in trap placement, supporting flexible positioning and broader map control.

Key Change:

Ability Previous Limitation Current Adjustment
Trademark Range restricted No range limit

This update allows Chamber to re-establish his role as a sentinel who can secure areas without being confined by distance.

Sage

Sage now moves closer to a dual role, blending her defensive utility with stronger map influence. Her Barrier Orb can be deployed from farther away, while Resurrection also benefits from an extended activation distance. These modifications improve her ability to support teammates and manage space effectively.

Ability Updates:

  • Barrier Orb: Cast range increased from 10m → 15m
  • Resurrection: Cast range increased from 6m → 12m

These upgrades encourage more proactive plays while still preserving her supportive identity.

Sova

Sova’s update focuses on clarity during combat. His Hunter’s Fury ultimate now features refined visual effects that resolve faster and occupy less screen space. This change ensures players experience less visual clutter, making engagements smoother while keeping the ability’s impact intact.

Gameplay System Changes

Riot refined several in-game systems to improve clarity and reduce unnecessary distractions during matches. Ping sounds on the minimap now play with a softer tone, making communication less disruptive. Ultimate ability zones display clearer visuals with distinct colors: teal for allies and yellow for enemies. In addition, icons for abilities only appear on the minimap if the ultimate can actually be destroyed, preventing unnecessary clutter.

Map Rotation Adjustments

The active map pool has shifted. Abyss returns to both Competitive and Deathmatch modes, while Icebox is being removed from rotation for the time being. This adjustment changes available strategies and will likely influence team composition and playstyle.

VALORANT patch notes 11.04: Bug fixes

Ongoing Problems

Players may notice that after updating to the new engine version, their resolution and display preferences reset during the first launch. This reset does not persist beyond that initial session, and once settings are manually adjusted, the game will save them correctly. Riot has confirmed that no permanent fix is planned, but users can restore their preferred setup without issue.

PC-Specific Fixes

On PC, several interface-related errors have been addressed to improve clarity across competitive and Premier modes.

  • Competitive Mode: End-of-match screens no longer cut off agent portraits in certain languages.
  • Premier Mode: Character names in the Awards tab now display in full without truncation.

General Gameplay Fixes

A wide range of bug corrections target both agents and maps:

Agent / Feature Issue Resolved
Chamber Minimap no longer shows the deactivation radius of Trademark while equipped.
KAY/O Zero/Point no longer provides unintended audio cues that revealed exact enemy positions.
Astra & Harbor Bullet tracers no longer pass through Cosmic Divide or Cove.
Phoenix & Tejo Correct round-start voice lines now play when both agents are present.
Neon Removed exploit where binding High Gear to multiple keys skipped unequip delay.

Additional map adjustments include a fix on Split, ensuring that molotov-style abilities spread correctly when landing on stairs.

Lastly, an issue affecting concussed players has been resolved. Crosshairs now continue to sway as intended if a player quickly enters and exits a controllable tool, such as Cypher’s camera or Sova’s drone.
