XDefiant Patch Notes Y1S1.3

Ubisoft is set to release the Y1S1.3 update for XDefiant tomorrow. The developers have taken the initiative to reveal the patch notes ahead of time, providing players with a detailed look at the forthcoming changes.

Rather than introducing new weapons or game modes, this update focuses on enhancing existing features. By implementing various tweaks and adjustments, the developers aim to improve the overall gameplay experience.

XDefiant Y1S1.3 Patch Notes

Changes to Gameplay

  • XP Boosters now pause their countdown while players are in the Practice Zone.
  • Enhanced vertical ADS sensitivity for controllers to ensure that aiming vertically matches the precision of horizontal aiming.

Changes to Game Modes

  • Adjustments to Ranked mode ensure that matches won't commence without at least 8 players. Additionally, the Leave button has been disabled on the map-voting screen to prevent players from quitting prematurely. Should players leave during voting, the match will be canceled.
  • Capture the Flag (CTF) mode has been integrated into Ranked play.

Changes to Factions

  • Echelon's Intel Suit modification means it now only allows the wearer to spot enemies through walls. Meanwhile, ally players can still see enemy locations on the minimap.
  • DedSec's spiderbots adjustments now mean they only stun enemies once they attach to their face rather than before.

Modifications to Weapons

  • The Rapid Fire Barrel and Muzzle Booster attachments now accurately increase recoil for weapons like the ACR 6.8 and AK-47.
  • MP7 modifications include reducing its magazine capacity from 35 to 30 and its rate of fire from 875 to 850 rounds per minute.
  • Certain LVOA-C cosmetic skins have had their iron sights updated.

Shotgun Adjustments

M870:

  • Increased short range from 10m to 13m.
  • Increased medium range from 15m to 18m.
  • Reduced sprint-to-shoot time from 250ms to 200ms.
  • Hipfire spread narrowed by roughly 10%, aim spread by approximately 18%, and crouch hipfire spread tightened.
  • Significant adjustments to spread reduction while crouching, sliding, or in the air, narrowing the hipfire and aim spread ranges.

AA-12:

  • Increased short range from 7m to 10m and medium range from 10m to 13m.
  • Approximately 10% reduction in hipfire spread and 13% reduction in aim spread.
  • Adjusted some spread values and significantly reduced spread while crouching, sliding, or in the air.

Double Barrel:

  • Increased short and medium ranges to 15m and 19m, respectively.
  • Bolt action spread while crouching or airborne narrowed, along with an increase in reserve ammo from 12 to 16.

Sawed-Off Shotgun:

  • Reserve ammo increased from 6 to 10.
  • Reduced sprint-to-shoot time from 250ms to 150ms.
  • Spread reduction while crouching, sliding, or airborne narrowed.

Attachments:

  • The Pistol Grip and PEQ-15 Laser attachments for shotguns now have reduced spread Min/Max bonuses from 20% to 15%.
  • Enhanced HUD reticule bloom visualization to change while leaping.

Devices

Sticky grenades now remain in place even if the deploying player is eliminated.

Miscellaneous Updates

  • The cursor now remains on the correct display when playing on a secondary monitor in fullscreen mode with the „lock mouse to game window“ option.
  • Rectified an issue that prevented players‘ kill/death ratios from updating accurately after matches.
