You can no longer pick Neon in any VALORANT PC queue right now. Riot Games removed her temporarily after identifying a Fast Lane bug that affected competitive integrity.
If you play on PC, you will not see Neon in modes from Competitive to Deathmatch while the team works on a fix. Riot has confirmed the disable is temporary as they address the issue tied to her wall ability.
Riot disables Neon in all VALORANT PC queues
If you play on PC, you cannot select Neon in any playlist right now. Riot removed her from every queue, including Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, and Deathmatch. The restriction applies across the board, so you will not encounter her in standard matchmaking.
Console players remain unaffected and can continue using Neon as usual.
When you hover over her portrait on PC, the client shows a notice that she is unavailable for that queue. The agent stays visible in the selection screen, but the system blocks you from locking her in.
Riot plans to restore Neon with Patch 12.09, scheduled for May 13, 2026. That timeline leaves PC players without her for roughly one week.
The same patch will also introduce balance adjustments. Riot has indicated that changes to her kit will arrive alongside her return.
What Led to Neon’s Temporary Removal?
You lost access to Neon on PC because of a serious issue tied to her Fast Lane (C) ability. Under certain graphics settings, the energy wall could become invisible to opponents while remaining fully visible to you.
That visual failure created a one-sided barrier that functioned like a flawless one-way smoke. Neon players who knew about the exploit could push, peek, and reposition without giving enemies a fair visual cue.
- Ability affected: Fast Lane (C)
- Platform impacted: PC only
- Issue type: Graphics-based visibility exploit
- Result: Unfair competitive advantage
This problem affected competitive integrity across all PC queues, not just ranked matches. Because the exploit offered a consistent edge rather than a rare glitch, Riot disabled Neon entirely instead of leaving her partially restricted.
You can expect her return in Patch 12.09, scheduled for May 13, alongside balance adjustments to prevent similar issues.
