The schedule of the Call of Duty League Kick-off Classic has been announced

The Kick-off Classic gets underway next Friday with the first round. Here, eight teams will fight for a spot in the quarterfinals. The top four teams from last year's CDL season received a first-round bye due to that performance. That means we will see Atlante FaZe, Minnesota RØKKR, OpTic Texas and Toronto Ultra in action for the first time on Saturday.

As esports-agentur.net reports, the main focus will be on the series between the New York Subliners and the team from Boston. The Boston team is new to the Call of Duty League after OpTic and Dallas continued as one team after last season. On Saturday, OpTic may take on the LA Thieves if Nadeshot's team manages to win against Paris Legion. In recent years, a rivalry between the organizations has developed and now that player ‚Envoy‘ has made the move from OpTic to the Thieves, it has only grown stronger.

Scrimmage

Although many teams livestream their scrims via Twitch, the kick-off will be the first showdown for the teams. Based on scrims, it's hard to tell how the teams will stack up against each other. In the first tournament of the year, fans get the first impression of all the organizations. The teams that perform well at the Kick-off Classic are going to be seen as the favorites for the upcoming CDL season. The tournament can be followed all weekend from Friday, January 21 through Sunday, January 23 via the CDL's YouTube channel.
