Marvel Rivals Patch Notes
Marvel Rivals continues to expand with fresh content and balance changes that aim to refine the competitive experience. Alongside the latest update, players gain access to a new battleground, Klyntar: Throne of Knull, which introduces a darker setting tied to the symbiote lore.
The update also brings targeted adjustments to several heroes, focusing on Blade, the Human Torch, and Loki. These balance shifts are designed to fine-tune their performance and maintain a fairer playing field across matches.
Marvel Rivals update buffs Blade
Blade receives a modest enhancement in the August 21 patch, aimed at improving his durability during fights. His Bloodline Awakening (E) ability now provides 65% Lifesteal, up from the previous 60%. This adjustment allows him to recover more health while staying aggressive in combat.
In addition, the penalty on his self-healing has been eased. The reduction drops from 40% to 35%, giving him greater resilience when sustaining damage.
Patch Adjustments for Blade:
- Lifesteal during Bloodline Awakening: 60% → 65%
- Self-healing reduction: 40% → 35%
Marvel Rivals update weakens the Human Torch
The latest balance changes scale back the Human Torch’s sustained damage output. Two of his core abilities see reductions that make his area control less overwhelming in extended fights.
Adjusted abilities:
| Ability | Previous Damage | New Damage | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flame Field | 25 per second | 20 per second | -5 |
| Pyro-Prison | 50 per second | 40 per second | -10 |
These adjustments aim to reduce his pressure in prolonged engagements while keeping his burst potential intact.
Marvel Rivals adjusts Loki in August 21 update
Loki received a notable downgrade in the latest balance patch. His Mystical Missile ability, including the damage from his illusions, now deals 25 damage instead of 30. This adjustment reduces the overall pressure he can apply in combat while keeping his supportive role intact.
- Mystical Missile damage: 30 → 25
- Ally healing: unchanged
These changes aim to limit the burst potential of Loki’s illusions without affecting his ability to sustain teammates. Players can access the update immediately after downloading the patch, as no downtime accompanied the rollout.
