League of Legends 2026 Season 2 expands the Item Shop with new options and targeted reworks. You will see two new Doran’s starter items, fresh Boots choices, and adjustments to several existing items that shift early-game and mid-game build paths.
These changes arrive with Patch 26.09 on April 29, 2026, marking the start of Season 2 Act I. Alongside the item updates, you can expect the return of Deathfire Touch and Stormraider’s Surge, new Pandemonium-themed skins, and additional gameplay features that reshape how you approach each match.
New Doran’s Starter Choices in LoL 2026 Season 2
Season 2 adds two fresh lane openers: Doran’s Bow and Doran’s Helm. Each targets a specific playstyle and shifts how you approach early trades.
Doran’s Bow – 400g
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Attack Damage | 6 |
| Attack Speed | 15% |
| Omnivamp | 1.5% |
You trade some raw damage and sustain compared to Doran’s Blade in exchange for faster basic attacks. The added attack speed benefits champions who rely on repeated autos to pressure lane or stack on-hit effects.
The small amount of omnivamp provides light sustain, but you should not expect strong healing. If your champion scales harder with attack speed than flat AD, this option can better match your early trading pattern.
Doran’s Helm – 450g
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 110 |
| Armor | 10 |
| Magic Resist | 10 |
Passive – Helping Hand: Your attacks deal 5 bonus physical damage to minions.
You invest more gold upfront, which leaves room for only one potion at level one. In return, you gain balanced resistances and bonus health that favor early skirmishes.
The extra minion damage improves last-hitting and wave control, especially for melee bruisers who want to trade aggressively instead of relying on passive sustain.
New Boots
Gluttonous Greaves add an early sustain option to your build for 950 gold. You gain mobility and scaling omnivamp that grows as fights break out across the map.
- +45 Move Speed
- +4% Omnivamp
- Slay: Each champion takedown grants +1% Omnivamp, stacking up to 6 times
These stacks never expire and remain after death, so you keep the benefit throughout the match. If you secure kills or assists consistently, your sustain increases in a noticeable and reliable way.
As a mid laner, you can upgrade into Immortal Path through your Role Quest. It keeps all base stats and adds a conditional passive:
- Above 50% Health: deal 5% increased damage
- Below 50% Health: gain 15% increased healing, shielding, and regeneration
This upgrade rewards you for managing your health during skirmishes and extended trades.
Updated and Vaulted Gear in LoL 2026 Season 2
Patch 26.09 removes Trailblazer and Opportunity from the shop. At the same time, Riot adjusts several damage-focused options to fit the new Season 2 item system and Energized interactions.
Reworked Statikk Shiv
Statikk Shiv returns to the Energized category and now triggers on-hit effects. This change lets you combine it more directly with on-hit builds and ability-enhanced attacks.
Its recipe once again includes Ability Power, shifting some of its scaling back toward hybrid users. Because it now applies on-hit effects, you may notice new interactions with certain champion kits and item passives.
Adjusted Voltaic Cyclosword
Voltaic Cyclosword no longer interacts with dashes or blinks. Instead, you can activate its Energized effect through ability damage.
The previous slow effect has been removed. In exchange, the item grants higher raw damage and additional Lethality, pushing it toward burst-focused builds.
Tweaked Dusk and Dawn
Dusk and Dawn receives lighter stat reductions to tone down its overall efficiency.
To compensate, the item now provides a healing effect. This adjustment shifts some of its value from pure damage into limited sustain during fights.
