Fortnite Rambo Collab: Release Date, Skins, and What to Expect

You have seen Fortnite turn major film icons into playable characters, from the T-800 to Ellen Ripley. Now the game adds another well-known action figure to its lineup with Sylvester Stallone’s John Rambo.

After weeks of speculation, you can now get a clear look at Rambo’s in-game appearance, including his main outfit and accompanying cosmetics. The crossover expands Fortnite’s long-running pattern of bringing recognizable movie characters into its evolving roster.

Fortnite Rambo collaboration: Skin, cosmetics, and release date

You can unlock John Rambo in Fortnite starting June 19 at 8 p.m. ET, when the Outfit arrives in the Item Shop. Epic Games models the character after Sylvester Stallone’s likeness, giving the skin a direct connection to the film series.

You can switch between multiple styles to match your preference. Choose the classic tank top look or the shirtless “First Blood” version, and toggle the bandolier on or off for added detail.

The collaboration includes a full set of themed cosmetics:

  • John Rambo Outfit
  • Rambo’s Quiver Back Bling
  • Rambo’s Combat Knife Pickaxe
  • Gunship Glider
  • Prepare for Battle Emote
  • Rambo’s War Wrap

The Combat Knife functions as the Pickaxe and reflects the character’s signature weapon. The Gunship Glider references the helicopter imagery tied to the franchise, while the wrap and emote complete the set.

Pricing has not been officially confirmed, but similar action-hero crossovers have set expectations. You can reasonably expect the Outfit to cost around 1,500 V-Bucks. The Glider may fall between 1,000 and 1,200 V-Bucks, while smaller items should cost less individually.

If you want everything, look for a bundled option likely priced above 2,500 V-Bucks, offering the full Rambo set at a reduced total compared to buying items separately.

Why Bring Rambo Into Fortnite at This Moment?

You see Epic Games target younger players, but the company continues to add characters that resonate with long-time movie fans. Past crossovers have included RoboCop and Terminator, showing a steady pattern of spotlighting 1980s action icons. Rambo stood out as one of the few major names from that era not yet featured.

Timing also plays a role. The recent release of the Rambo 4K Collection, which bundles all films with added extras, puts the franchise back in focus for both new viewers and longtime fans.

You can also look at what’s ahead:

  • A new prequel film, John Rambo, is currently in development.
  • Actor Noah Centineo is attached to the lead role.
  • Renewed media attention increases crossover value.

By aligning the collaboration with renewed interest in the series, Epic strengthens its pattern of mixing gaming culture with established film brands. You benefit from a crossover that connects classic cinema with Fortnite’s evolving lineup.
