In CS, you could rely on the Net Graph command to view key performance data during a match. It displayed details such as frame rate, ping, and network behavior, which helped you understand how your system and connection performed in real time.
In Counter-Strike 2, the Net Graph no longer offers the same depth of information. Even so, it still gives you useful insight into how the game runs, which can help you spot performance or connection issues while you play.
How to enable Net Graph in CS2
You no longer activate the Net Graph through a single console command. CS2 replaces the old approach with built‑in telemetry options and several display commands that work together.
Start by enabling console access. Open Settings → Game, then set Enable Developer Console (~) to Yes. Press the ~ key during a match to enter commands.
Use the cl_showfps commands to control performance data on screen. Each value changes what you see rather than toggling one fixed graph.
| Command | What it shows |
|---|---|
| cl_showfps 1 | Current FPS |
| cl_showfps 2 | FPS with 60, 240, and 1000 frame references |
| cl_showfps 3 | Server ping in ms plus 60, 240, and 100 tick rates |
| cl_showfps 4 | Average FPS, average frame time, and average server ping |
After setting your preferred FPS view, configure the in‑game telemetry overlay. Open Settings → Game → Telemetry and adjust the display options.
Set the following items to Always so they remain visible during play:
- Show frame time and FPS
- Show ping
- Show network problems (loss or jitter)
- Show network jitter / misdelivery graph
- Use the detailed network quality display
These options combine to recreate the practical parts of the old Net Graph. You see frame timing, latency, packet loss, and jitter without relying on deprecated commands.
When configured correctly, CS2 displays this information in the top‑right corner of your screen while you play. You can toggle or refine each element at any time through Telemetry settings or by changing the cl_showfps value.
How to turn off CS2 Net Graph
Disable the Net Graph by reversing the settings you enabled earlier. Start with console-based displays, then adjust in-game telemetry options to clear remaining overlays.
- Console command: open the console and enter
cl_showfps 0to hide FPS and related stats. - Telemetry settings: open Settings → Game → Telemetry and change each active option from Always to Never.
- Result: the performance overlay disappears, leaving a clean screen during matches.
Apply the changes immediately; no restart is required.
Will Net Graph return in CS2?
You should not expect the classic CS Net Graph to come back in its original form. Valve treats it as outdated and positions CS2 Telemetry settings as the intended replacement.
You can already access similar data, but the presentation and depth differ from what you used before.
What this means for you:
- Old Net Graph: detailed network and performance stats in one overlay
- CS2 Telemetry: simplified metrics shown through in-game settings
- Console commands: no longer enable the legacy graph
Valve continues restoring missing features after the CS2 transition, but you have no clear signals that Net Graph sits on that list. A future return remains possible, yet current updates suggest Valve prefers refining Telemetry rather than reviving the old system.
